Imagine being lost in a dark, foggy hedge maze, alone, confused, overwhelmed, unable to focus or remember where you were going, your thoughts a tangled mess. In the distance you see a figure approaching with a lantern, steady hand outstretched. I will be your guide through the your maze of intrusive and anxious thoughts towards a peaceful clearing and the direct pursuit of the life you want to live. Together we can mentally transplant you to a mindscape that allows you to grow; a safe place to untangle your thoughts, stretch your mind, and grow fearlessly.

Perhaps you’re struggling with perfectionism or low self-worth, or find yourself questioning your direction, your relationships, or the meaning of it all. Whether you’re navigating everyday difficulties, working through the impact of trauma, or facing uncertainty about the future, I’m here to support you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who has had 10+ years experience conducting Mental Health counseling to adults & children, & providing Domestic Violence advocacy, assisting survivors through the Family Court & Criminal Court process, safety planning, & being an emotional support through the healing process.

Hi there! Are past traumatic experiences impacting your life in negative ways and you have been avoiding talking to someone for fear it will be overwhelming? I understand. I have over 25 years in many different mental health and health settings helping clients overcome the ongoing effects of trauma. Or maybe you have tried to reach out for help before - but thinking about letting go of the ways you've learned to adapt and cope through the trauma and its after effects is a scary prospect! I get it, you want to feel better and to be healthier - mentally, physically and emotionally. But where can you safely turn for help?

I specialize in trauma work using EMDR and other approaches, and also work with anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, burnout, and related concerns.
Therapy with me focuses on more than understanding patterns—it’s about shifting them at the level they're held in the nervous system. We work to increase regulation, expand capacity, and create lasting change that goes beyond insight alone. I also offer EMDR intensives, which are extended sessions designed for focused, deeper therapeutic work.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
