Being human isn't easy. Being with other humans can be even more difficult! Looking for new ways to deal with the challenges of life, relationships, and the negative repetitive patterns in your own brain? Sometimes it helps to talk to someone in a non-judgmental, open and curious way to help sort things out, explore new ground, practice new responses to the same old patterns, or know yourself (and a loved one) in a new way.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works primarily with women navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship stress, and life transitions. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable, and high-functioning, yet feel stretched thin, emotionally reactive, or stuck in patterns of overthinking and self-doubt. Therapy offers a space to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin responding in ways that feel steadier and more aligned.

Are you constantly anxious, exhausted, and feeling like you're never doing enough? Your adult anxiety is often a signal from an inner child who felt unsafe, overwhelmed, or unseen. Between balancing daily pressures and managing a mind that won't stop whispering "what if," you have lost your sense of self. You are running on empty, carrying old wounds that show up today as perfectionism, people-pleasing, and chronic overwhelm.

You feel anxious, emotionally drained, and stuck in patterns you can’t break—overthinking everything, overgiving in relationships, and constantly questioning yourself. Even when things look “fine” on the outside, you feel off, disconnected, or exhausted. You keep ending up in dynamics that leave you depleted, unseen, or unsure of your worth. Talking about it hasn’t been enough, and the same cycles keep repeating. I help clients move forward by integrating talk therapy with nervous system regulation and deeper pattern work to build self-awareness, strengthen self-trust, and support lasting emotional and relational change.

I specialize in anxiety, life transitions, and women's issues, particularly around emerging adulthood, identity, and relationship challenges.
Hello! Starting therapy can feel like a meaningful step, and sometimes a slightly uncertain one.I work with teens and young adults navigating the often confusing transition into adulthood. Many of my clients appear high functioning on the outside while internally struggling with anxiety, overthinking, comparison to peers, relationship stress, and uncertainty about who they are or where they’re headed next.

The intimate, yet convenient office setting I provide individuals and their families allows the protection of one's privacy and confidentiality while receiving counseling services. As a Mental Health Counselor I have truly enjoyed my work with children/adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I work with my clients and their families by providing healthy coping skills and empowering them to feel confident enough to achieve their goals in and outside of the therapeutic setting. Life can be difficult at times and I never want any of the individuals I work with to feel they are in it alone.

Motherhood can feel a lot heavier than anyone prepared you for. Maybe you’re constantly overstimulated, snapping more easily than you want to, feeling touched out, emotionally exhausted, anxious, or wondering why you don’t feel like yourself anymore. You love your children deeply — and you’re also overwhelmed by the invisible mental load, pressure, and nonstop demands of motherhood. If you’re struggling with mom rage, anxiety, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, or the fear of becoming your parents, you are not broken. Your nervous system may simply be carrying more than it was ever meant to hold alone.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
