I believe there is strength to be found in our weaknesses, love to be found through our pain, and light after our darkest days. The pain of healing comes with the self-awareness that otherwise may be over looked. When it becomes more painful to stay in our past then it is scary to step out of it is when the journey begins. I walk beside my clients, not in-front or behind. I remain steady and follow their lead. I provide the safety and hope that everyone needs to face their pain, to feel their pain, and to keep going anyway.

We all struggle at times, its part of the human condition. If you’re exhausted from holding it together all day, and quietly falling apart in the evening… you are not alone, and you are not broken. Choosing psychotherapy is one of the most meaningful investments you can make in yourself. Learning to understand ourselves and what drives our thoughts, feelings and behavioral patterns is a powerful experience. Together, we’ll explore small, internal shifts that increase self‑awareness and create lasting change.

If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed by life changes, therapy can help you regain balance, confidence, and clarity—without losing sight of who you are. Words have power, and the stories we tell ourselves shape how we see ourselves and what feels possible. When those stories become limiting or stressful, therapy can help you explore and reshape them, creating space for self-compassion, clarity, and renewed confidence.

Life can be challenging, and you don't have to figure it out on your own. Many factors shape who we are and how we feel, some of which we’re not even aware of. Therapy provides the opportunity to gain understanding of those things in a safe and supportive environment. I consider my part in your journey of self-discovery as a privilege. I understand seeking help is truly an act of courage, which I deeply appreciate and respect.

Life can become riddled with difficulties, challenges, and struggles that often feel overwhelming. Times of grief and stress, as well as feelings of anxiety and depression can weigh heavy. Experiencing these hard times and feelings can bring anyone to believe that they're alone in this. However, you aren’t alone and you don’t have to face these valleys alone. You deserve to reach your goals. You deserve to have your needs met. You deserve to experience the peaks.

Anxious? Overthinker? Perfectionist? Low self-esteem? Do you replay conversations, second-guess decisions? Life’s everyday stresses can feel mentally exhausting and keep you stuck. You listen to the negative self-talk and want to move forward, but self-doubt kicks in. You freeze. My clients have spent years mastering the art of looking fine. They show up for everyone around them - their families, their jobs, their relationships - while quietly drowning in thoughts. They aren't broken. They are exhausted. They come to me when the weight of carrying it alone finally becomes too heavy to ignore.

I believe meaningful change begins with deeper self-understanding. I work with high-functioning individuals and couples who are often successful on the outside but internally feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally disconnected. Many seek support for anxiety, depression, mood disorders, addiction, or relationship strain. My work focuses on helping clients recognize longstanding patterns, deepen insight, and create more grounded, intentional, and fulfilling ways of living and relating. I look forward to the opportunity to work together.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
