The most important part of the therapeutic relationship is feeling you have a rapport with your therapist. When life gets difficult, it feels refreshing to have an outside independent perspective on life decisions. I will continue to offer empathy and support, as well as a healthy amount of advice and my objective opinion. I have had too many client's throughout the years that was able to gain empathy in the therapeutic relationship, however missed out on the objective input.

“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” (Carl Rodgers) We can’t change what we do not explore and the first step in the direction of that journey is always the hardest. But you are here already taking that step, looking for someone to assist with the change that you seek. Everyday life can be in the way of focusing on healing from our past, management of stress/mental health issues and making changes for our future. Setting aside time for yourself is important! You are important!

Looking for a therapist can bring up a lot of uncertainty. You may wonder if you’ll feel understood, if therapy will be useful, or where to begin. I believe finding the right fit matters, and that a strong therapeutic relationship can support clarity, direction, and a deeper understanding of yourself. I approach my work with curiosity, a sense of humor, and a genuine interest in helping people move through areas where they feel stuck. I see therapy as a shared process.

Your family doesn't look the way it used to, and you're not sure whether to fix it or grieve it. Maybe you and your partner have had some version of the same argument for three years and you're both exhausted. Maybe you love your kids and you're still completely depleted by them. Maybe your adult child has pulled away and you don't understand why. Maybe life is fine on paper and you know it could feel better. Or maybe there's no crisis exactly, just a quiet sense that you've been taking care of everyone else for so long that you've completely lost track of yourself. Generic advice from the internet just can't bridge the gap.

Are you still stuffing your feelings down, because you think no one cares? Are you afraid to express any feeling because society has taught you that you have to "man up" and push forward? Do you keep it all in because your family would rather see you die on top of your white horse, than to fall and show that you are human? 47,450 people in the US will lose their battle with mental illness this year; men (36,500) are 4x higher than women (10,950) . Relationship problems? Addiction? Do you just feel worthless and like no one cares? I have real world experience at crawling out of all of these holes. Call me; I can help.

Here at Blueprint, we know a thing or two about building—just not in the way you might expect. The idea started long before this practice existed, with my grandfather, a carpenter who could build just about anything as long as he had a plan in front of him. He believed in having the right tools, trusting the process, and sticking with something until it was done right. I took that mindset… and applied it to mental health instead of construction. Because let’s be honest—most of us are out here trying to build a life we actually like, and no one really handed us a clear set of instructions. That’s where I come in.

Anxiety is part of being human. It helps us stay safe from danger. I specialize in helping clients with anxiety find healthier balances with their anxiety, so it still protects them when it needs to, and takes a backseat when it is doing more harm than good. Anxiety is the primary focus of my current practice, but I also have robust experience helping clients with primary concerns related to trauma, depression, grief, adoption, relationships, and parenting.

Life can feel incredibly heavy at times, and it can feel like it won't let up. You may be struggling with anxiety, trauma, or patterns that persist despite your best efforts. It might be hard to put into words what you are experiencing, whether you are new to therapy or have been in it before. You deserve a space where your symptoms are not treated as a problem to be solved, but where you are seen as a person who needs a safe place to land. My goal is to help you build the tools and self-understanding needed to navigate daily life with more ease.
