I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents and adults. I use an integrative and advanced approach combining techniques from various orientations including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, Family Systems Theory and Play therapy. Dr. Adalgiza Sandoval, MSW, LCSW, ACSW, has been active in New York City social work for the past 22+ years. She has an unusual breadth of experience and is especially skilled in the care of persons with severe mental illness. Mrs. Sandoval is a seasoned case manager, clinician and psychotherapist who has direct familiarity with many settings and agencies in which psychiatric patients are treated. She has worked extensively in residential facilities as a counselor and served as clinical director of the Community Residence Program of Transitional Services for New York, Inc.

Lisa Wilkinson is a LMHC with Footprints which was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. We began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

My area of expertise is assessment, without which a diagnosis and treatment planning cannot be determined. Often, therapy or medication falls short because of poor or unclear diagnosis. I use my years of clinical and academic experience as well as a tailored, objective assessment to address: Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Depression, Anxiety and Bipolar Disorder. I perform Fitness of Duty evaluations for employment clearances such as NYPD, FDNY, and bariatric surgery. I also help families and the court system with forensic, child custody and special education litigation as an expert witness.

I provide psychodynamic/humanistic therapy to assist people in seeing connections between past experiences and present behavior. I set goals with clients but I believe a value focused orientation is more effective at helping people live their best lives. For children and families, I help them navigate the challenges of a medical situation by getting children to understand specific medical procedures and diagnosis, encourage them to be an active participant in their treatment. I also support them to express feelings over their illness, or the illness of their sibling, parents and other family members. For adult clients, I provide 'Pause and Reflect Coaching' service that through dialogue and creative means, (i.e. dance/ movement, role play etc), I facilitate opportunities for you to listen to your heart and make new decisions towards finding meaning in your next chapter in life.
