Psychologist, PhD

My goal is to create a deep and connected feeling to each person I work with; a sense of warmth, and safety in the room. Through this bond, I believe an immense amount of growth, insight, and desired change can flourish. Navigating life’s challenges can feel exhausting and unclear, so I am here to help alleviate this burden and work towards an improved relationship with yourself and those around you. I believe in the special and resilient ability we all have to tap into our desired best selves and I am always inspired to be a part of the journey.

I use a Psychoanalytic approach which basically means a kind of talk therapy that explores things you may be doing unconsciously, which may have a significant impact on the way you feel and behave.
When you begin therapy with me, you can expect a collaborative process marked by empathy, respect, and trust. I believe that genuine change happens when we can articulate and confront the aspects of ourselves that feel less understood. In my practice, I prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your innermost thoughts and feelings. I believe that gaining insight into one’s internal world can lead to profound personal growth and transformation. I want to help empower you to develop healthier coping mechanisms and foster a deeper understanding of yourself.

Intensive psychoanalytic psychotherapy addressing the unconscious architecture determining how you operate under pressure.
You've achieved what most consider success. The exhaustion is disproportionate to actual demands. Strategic decisions that should be straightforward create unexpected internal resistance. Or the opposite—complete confidence while sensing the approach is incomplete. These patterns don't reflect capability problems. They signal readiness for work at a different depth. You're here because internal patterns—not external constraints—are your primary barrier. At C-suite and board level, psychology determines who sustains performance. You're ready to address what enabled current success and imposed its ceiling.

Hello everyone, please welcome and allow me to first begin in thanking you. The choice to start therapy isn’t always easy, sometimes it is the most difficult thing to do is to even consider it, then admit you want/need it before even taking the steps to start, but you are not alone on this journey. Perhaps there has been times that you have found yourself feeling stressed, down, lacking confidence, or stuck in a pattern that no longer serves you. Perhaps you’re ready to take steps toward changes but feel stuck or unsure where to start. Or even feeling lost in your relationships in life or even disconnected from them.

The way the world treats us greatly influences the way we see ourselves. Life's transitions greatly impacts on our own sense of self. We all experience emotional conflict, how we cope impacts on our sense of well being.

Modern Psychoanalytic approach
Working with individuals, couples, teens and children I have come to understand that we all want to be heard so that we may experience a healthier, productive life. Often, we experience conflict and troublesome behaviors that prevent us from feeling happy and satisfied. Depression, anxiety and a myriad of other self-defeating conditions or behaviors can emerge that interfere with our everyday relationships and can cause many difficulties in our lives. My approach is to work closely with you, through any issues, in an atmosphere of acceptance and support, designed to address your needs.

Psychoanalytic Therapists
Does psychoanalytic therapy work?
Psychoanalytic therapy derives from the work of Sigmund Freud. In this type of therapy, discovering buried thoughts and emotions from the unconscious will help a person work through their difficulties and negative behaviors. Research shows that psychoanalytic therapy can be highly effective, with patients reporting improvement in mood, quality of life, and overall well-being.

How long are people typically in psychoanalytic therapy?
Traditional psychoanalysis is in-depth and is conducted in five sessions every week. Today, modern psychoanalytic therapy is less intense and normally incorporates as few as one or two sessions a week. In some cases, positive change can occur quickly. However, if the condition, difficulty, or behavior is deep-seated, improvement may require many months or years of therapy.

Is psychoanalytic therapy suitable for young people?
Children and adolescents can benefit from this type of therapy. Many kids and teens are often unable to form and communicate their thoughts and emotions. Psychoanalytic therapy uses specific techniques such as dream analysis, symbolism, and free association or word association; all of which can be useful tools for less-communicative young people. Through this therapy, a patient will hopefully make connections between what they feel inside and how the world works outside.

Can psychoanalytic therapy be done online?
Modern-day psychoanalytic therapy is very different from traditional psychoanalysis. While an individual can sit face-to-face with the psychoanalyst for multiple sessions a week, they do not have to. Today, psychoanalytic therapy can be effectively conducted online or by phone. The key is that the individual confronts what is repressed and avoided, and this can be done whether in person or over online video.
