Life
before and after weight loss can be difficult. No matter how you've lost a significant amount of weight, your
life
changes. Most of my clients have had, or are thinking about having, Lap-Band, Bypass, Sleeve, or Balloon weight loss procedures. I also counsel those who don't qualify, or do not desire surgery. In order to maintain the weight loss, one's behavior must change. Our thinking must change. How we see ourselves must change. I should know - I am a product of all these lifestyle changes myself.

I believe every dysfunction, every disorder, and every pain was somehow born to cope with
life
and protect the best parts of us. In the journey towards healing, we all need a power greater than ourselves (call it God, love, or family...) to provide acceptance, support, and a safe place to unravel. Counseling is an invitation to come and be; to take an honest look at yourself for who and what you really are; to realize your issues make sense; and to have compassion for all parts of you so you can holistically heal and function at your full potential.

Every human being has the right to pursue happiness without being inundated with emotional and behavioral problems. Happiness is not optional but mandatory. Everyone deserves a fulfilling

. To achieve optimal success and happiness, we must maintain emotional health as well as physical health. If we lose this emotional component, physical health is not achievable, and vice versa.

In a rapidly changing world, one can find it challenging to deal with feeling mad, afraid, sad or even glad! My aim is to help alleviate that pain. I use an integrative approach to understand your
life
experiences, feelings, and the reason for seeking counsel. I believe each person already has in them the potential to grow. A personal transformation through the process of psychotherapy can help facilitate this growth. Eventually, this will give you a greater understanding of yourself, others and the world around you.

It is difficult to ask for help. Therapy can be a support to help you as you try to improve how you’re feeling. Whether it be depressed, anxious, angry or something else. It can be a space that you can have to look at routines and ways of being that have gotten you stuck and a space to expand your coping skills and interpersonal skills to improve your overall stance on
life
.

Life
can be challenging. The journey can be a struggle. There is no reason to travel alone. Working with a counselor can be the beginning. Hello everyone, please welcome and allow me to first begin in thanking you. The choice to start therapy isn’t always easy, sometimes it is the most difficult thing to do is to even consider it, then admit you want/need it before even taking the steps to start, but you are not alone on this journey. Perhaps there has been times that you have found yourself feeling stressed, down, lacking confidence, or stuck in a pattern that no longer serves you. Perhaps you’re ready to take steps toward changes but feel stuck or unsure where to start. Or even feeling lost in your relationships in
life
or even disconnected from them.

Life Coaching Therapists
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.
Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.
Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.
How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
