I’m a therapist with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University. I chose this path because I believe in the power of genuine connection and the healing that comes from feeling truly seen and supported. Helping others navigate their struggles isn’t just what I do — it’s my purpose. My journey into this field is deeply personal. During a challenging time in my life, I turned to shows and other media that explored the importance of friendship and trust — helping me recognize the value of true connection, emotional resilience, and believing in yourself. These lessons stayed with me and now guide the work I do with

My aim as a mental health counselor is to create an empathetic and curiosity-driven environment for clients to pursue and explore growth, well-being, and authenticity. The foundations of my practice are rooted in being queer-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that works towards clients’ goals by examining emotions, unconscious beliefs, the mind-body connection, and relational patterns.

Maybe recently your life hasn’t been going the way you envisioned. Maybe you are struggling with a new challenging situation in the face of a big change. Maybe a relatively small issue has become what your daily life is now centered on. Or, maybe you can’t put your finger on what is bothering you, but you haven’t been yourself lately. It can feel like “no one knows how this feels”, or “things could get worse”, but it can also feel like “I’ve already wasted so much time”. You are here and I want to be the first person to welcome you in taking the first step toward finding whatever it is you are looking for.

My style is warm and curious and draw on psychodynamic frameworks, AEDP, IFS, and EMDR in my work.
The decision to begin therapy is rarely easy, but once you begin you may be surprised by the changes that unfold. Finding a therapist who helps you feel safe, supported, and challenged is central to this process. I've been fortunate to work with a wide range of people, including those dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem issues, sexual issues, sexual and gender identity exploration, health concerns, artistic blockages, addiction, parenting, and fertility issues.

Specializing in trauma-informed and empirically supported interventions, I employ a range of therapeutic approaches, including mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems and trauma-focused therapy.
As a practitioner, I believe in the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. Having lived between cultures, I understand what it’s like to feel split—to belong everywhere and nowhere at once. My work explores how relationships, culture, emotions, and survival strategies shape who you are. I don’t shy away from the messy or uncomfortable. Together, we’ll uncover what feels stuck and empower what’s ready to emerge—so you can move through the world with more freedom, connection, and self-trust. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, grief, oppression, life transitions, identity and relationship challenges.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
