Do you suffer from panic attacks? Have you started to avoid the places that you had a panic attack in the past because you don't want it to happen again? Or maybe you have missed trips because you're scared to fly? Have you been to the doctor, wore a heart rate monitor, but still check your pulse to get reassurance? Or given up coffee because you don't want to risk the possible anxiety? Maybe you try so hard to not let the panic take over, but the more you try the worse it gets? Could you imagine not feeling like you have to be on guard to stop a panic attack 24/7? And you could just go to dinner without plotting an escape plan?

In therapy, we’ll figure out what’s going on, learn how your thoughts work, & start giving you tools to get your life back using evidence-based therapies like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), and ACT - all proven to help - but we’ll always go at your pace.
It’s exhausting pretending you’re fine when your brain won’t stop. If you feel anxious, stuck in your head, or constantly afraid something bad will happen — you’re not alone. Maybe you fear throwing up, have to repeatedly check things, worry about messing up, or you get thoughts that feel scary, weird, or wrong. I work with kids, teens, and young adults (primarily ages 8–35) who feel trapped in fears about getting sick, making mistakes, intrusive thoughts, or needing things to feel “just right.” You’re not broken — and you don’t have to face this alone. I get how overwhelming it can feel when your brain is stuck in fear mode.

I use the leading, evidence-based treatments like ERP and ACT for OCD and anxiety disorder treatment.
My clients are the people who come to therapy expressing a great desire to feel better, feeling tired of their anxiety bullying them and keeping them from living a life they know deep down they deserve. They are people who often have scary and intrusive thoughts, images, or urges and have tried on their own to get rid of these experiences but haven't found their attempts to be effective long-term. They are also families who have heartache and tension, and want to find solutions to work together more effectively to make their home feel like a home again.

I use evidence based treatments including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), OCD and Exposure Response Prevention therapy ( ERP), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I believe healing happens through relationships. When we can share all parts of ourselves with another and be truly seen. Witnessed. Understood. The messy, the dark, the confusing and the seemingly unlovable. All parts of you are welcome here. You’re invited to bring your whole self to each session where you will be seen, heard, and validated. From a place of openness and curiosity, I provide a warm and affirming space for you to heal and grow. You don’t have to do it alone, I would be honored and humbled to join you.

I value a collaborative approach to therapy and utilize an eclectic theoretical framework that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Committee Therapy, and ERP.
I believe that beginning therapy is a courageous and positive step for a person to take in their life and I look to welcome each individual into this journey and support them along the way. I want to help clients live a life that brings them joy and fulfillment while supporting them in times where it may feel the opposite. I believe that my clients are capable of more than they believe and there is nothing more rewarding than watching this idea come to fruition in a client’s own mind.

I also incorporate ACT and ERP therapy modalities, which allow me to tailor treatment to your particular symptoms and needs.
Have you ever experienced a nagging feeling of constant worry or intrusive thoughts that you just can't get out of your head? Perhaps you experience a constant stream of "what ifs" for all of the possibilities that may happen, or you repeatedly check things to try to control the anxiety and prevent something bad from happening. Maybe you are experiencing prenatal or postpartum anxiety, and wish that you could just enjoy this exciting time in your life. These feelings can be totally overwhelming, defeating and exhausting, and can get in the way of you living your life. You don't have to keep struggling with anxiety or OCD alone.

I'm trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and exposure and response prevention ( ERP).
Can’t seem to turn your brain off and stop worrying? Are you constantly overthinking? Are you playing the same events over and over in your mind? Always concerned about saying or doing the right thing? Inside you may be feeling on-edge and nervous, and struggling with doubts and fears can be so tiring, which makes it harder to cope. It can seem like a never-ending cycle where trying to control everything just makes you feel more restless and out of control.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists

Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?

Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?

Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?

While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?

The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
