I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges and much more. A lot of us have felt misunderstood, including me. Many feel stuck in patterns shaped by childhood experiences or ongoing relational dynamics where we struggle to communicate, set boundaries, or be ourselves. I want you to be yourself. I want you to feel loved and to love yourself. I want you to smile and laugh again, to reclaim joy and self‑compassion. Most of all, I want you to know you don’t need to feel ashamed of who you are— you deserve to feel seen, valued, and supported as you heal and grow.

Healing comes in many guises. We can heal from a cut hand with a band aid, we can heal from a broken bone by setting it and isolating it in a cast, but when we heal from hurting feelings and trauma, we're not as savvy on how to heal this. Sometimes, when we're traumatized, we don't know what to do to feel better.

LET'S TALK. Ever since psychotherapy (the talking cure) was conceived over 100 years ago it has grown and evolved. But one thing remains constant: talking with someone about the things that bother you, in a safe and empathic environment is curative. It is the first step to changing the way you think, feel and act. In more than 20 years of practice, I have studied and mastered various techniques of psychotherapy (cognitive behavioral, relational, psychodynamic) and will utilize these in our work together.

Hola! I’m Stephanie Palacios, a bilingual (Spanish/English) Mental Health Counselor passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space for young adults and adults. I know that life can feel heavy—whether it’s stress, self-esteem struggles, anxiety, depression, anger, or navigating family and cultural dynamics. As a proud Latina, I understand how important it is to feel seen, heard, and understood in ways that honor both who you are and where you come from. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. Think of therapy with me as having a safe place to drop the mask, breathe, and figure things out without judgment. My goal.

Trauma impacts all areas of life. We may experience sudden, intrusive memories of childhood experience. We may struggle to manage our own children, and we may have problems connecting with others and building healthy relationships. Psychotherapy can help you re-frame your experience, and assist you in identifying, clarifying and prioritizing your values and coping skills, opening the door to a more meaningful life.

People most often contact me when a critical life event has occurred. They may be feeling anxious or depressed, or have become newly aware of a need to make changes in the way they handle their relationships, emotions, and self-esteem. For some, this is the beginning of a long journey of self-exploration. Others prefer to seek new, more effective tools to address the immediate situation. I think that a good clinician should be able to tailor the treatment to fit the needs and preferences of the client. Too often it is the other way around.

Feeling trapped, overwhelmed, or unsure what’s next? You don’t have to face it alone. Sometimes life feels heavier than it should—relationships strain, work loses meaning, or past pain piles up until it’s hard to move forward. You may feel anxious, down, or disconnected from the person you want to be. As a therapist and pastoral counselor, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through life’s toughest seasons, helping them find self-compassion, confidence, and renewed purpose. I work with individuals and couples navigating transition, loss, and long-standing emotional pain.
