I support families and caregivers manage stress, grief and find care solutions.
Finding the right therapist can be challenging. My goal is to make individuals comfortable with the therapeutic process through a holistic and trauma-informed approach. Specializing in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), I help clients release beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that block growth and healing. Together, we may work on navigating life transitions, managing stress, and addressing past trauma. I support those dealing with grief and loss, chronic and terminal illness, and caregiver stress as we journey to hope and healing.

Not accepting new clients
Not currently accepting new clients. Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, burn out, stress, or loneliness? Unfortunately, this is quite common for many people in today's world. Some feel as if they are drifting through life, without a deeper sense of meaning, or purpose. Sometimes, we numb the pain; other times, we just accept it and don't realize how to manage it. It is also common for people to struggle with having deeper relationships, whether with family, friends or romantic. If you would like to identify and explore the roots of these, or other issues, you have come to the right place.

I'm an anxiety and grief therapist, serving clients across New York State.
Anxiety and grief often go hand and hand. I want to hear your story. Sometimes that alone can be a great catharsis (we don't always have people we can fully express our struggles to). Oftentimes people say "I don't know where to begin" - I got you - we will sift and sort and make a plan.

I’m a New York–licensed therapist providing telehealth therapy to adults across New York State. I help people who feel overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or emotionally exhausted — especially those who are high-functioning on the outside but struggling internally. Therapy can be a space where you finally slow down, feel understood, and begin to make meaningful changes. Many of the people I work with are professionals, caregivers, and parents who are used to putting others first.

Many of my clients are seeking help and relief from worries, a lack of enjoyment in their lives, lack of confidence, unhappy relationships, family conflict, trauma, attentional difficulties, grief, hopelessness, and/or difficulties with drinking or other substances.
I frequently work with those looking for support in coping with a loved one. I also have experience treating those who are professionals themselves in the military, medical, and mental health communities. Additionally, I provide clinical supervision for therapists working toward full licensure.

The most integral aspect of counseling is coming from a person centered, peer and trauma informed focus that is collaborative, culturally sensitive, affirming and competent, meaning, providing you with the autonomy and agency to decide what coping skills, care, and approach is best suited for you. Working as a team is imperative in order for each session to feel like a conversation and not something purely clinical. Providing you with resources you need and desire, along with actively listening, being empathic, and present, creates the ideal atmosphere for healing. It is my honor and privilege to be of assistance to you.

Our thoughts and life experiences deeply influence how we see ourselves and the world around us. That’s why it’s so important to feel truly heard and supported from the very first therapy session. I understand that addressing mental health concerns can feel overwhelming or even scary, which is why I strive to create a calm, safe, and trusting space where healing can begin. Reaching out for help when you're feeling lost is one of the most courageous and empowering decisions you can make. As your therapist, I will walk alongside you—guiding you through life’s challenges, helping you reconnect with your inner strength.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
