I work with individuals who have learned to push through years of overwhelming feelings of stress, anxiety or past traumas. They feel stuck in cycles of worry, exhaustion, self-doubt or repeating patterns from the past. They navigate the lasting effects of difficult experiences that still live in their body. It can shape how we feel, think, & relate to others. Our bodies store the tension & the emotional pain. Our body & nervous system can go into overload. The stress & anxiety affects our mental, emotional, & physical health & the heart of who we are. If this sounds familiar, you don't have to do it alone or figure it on your own.

It's really stressful now. It's not just you. It's most of us. And sometimes, to cope, our bodies and minds develop reactions to stress that look like depression, anxiety, anger, and isolation among many other patterns. Stress can tangle us up in mind-body knots it seems impossible to unwind - where all we can see is what's wrong. I'm seeking clients who have tried a lot of things but keep returning to the same unworkable patterns. I'm seeking clients who want to connect to a life that is emotionally flexible, meaningful and free. Not free of stress but free from the reactions and patterns that bind us.

This profile is for a group practice. Relationships can be one of the biggest blessings and also one of the biggest stresses in your life. It's amazing how quickly life can get in the way of our relationships and cause chaos in our lives. We have obligations, responsibilities and demands that we have to keep up with, while putting in work to create a successful relationship. It can be exhausting at times and things can fall apart quickly. Therapy can be helpful for not just the couple or family, but the individual.

I use EMDR, parts work, somatic awareness, and other modalities to help you process what’s hurting, reconnect with your body, and build the inner safety and self-trust you’ve been craving.
If you feel stuck in survival mode, constantly anxious, overwhelmed, or triggered, I help adults heal trauma and anxiety so they can feel grounded and in control again. Many of my clients describe themselves as “put together” on the outside while privately battling self-doubt, overthinking, people-pleasing, or emotional exhaustion. You might feel like you’re always bracing for something, struggling to stay present, or carrying tension that never fully loosens. These patterns make sense when your body has learned to survive more than it has learned to feel safe. Here you can understand your patterns and work toward real relief.

I am formally trained in DBT, ACT, PE, and EMDR, but utilize an eclectic mix of modalities to meet clients "where they're at"- pulling in from CBT, somatic therapy, and mindfulness based practices.
As a clinician, my favorite quote is "shame dies when stories are told in safe places" (-Anna Voskamp), and this is what guides my practice. Maybe you often find yourself thinking that “there must be something wrong with me”, that nobody understands, or maybe you feel weighed down by guilt, shame or self-doubt. Often, the clients I work with express frustration over feeling "stuck" or unable to make changes, despite their best efforts. In the therapeutic space, these are not viewed as failures, but responses that make sense when viewed through the lens of trauma, access to resources, and broader cultural messages and expectations.

Modern approaches to therapy such as EMDR and Somatic Therapy utilize contemporary knowledge of our brain and nervous system processing to deliver effective results.
Have you tried traditional therapy in the past, but didn’t experience the results you were hoping for? Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
