I specialize in anxiety, panic, and OCD.
Hello! I work with clients in anxiety recovery who are looking for a supportive space to better understand and manage their anxiety while also reconnecting to their authentic self. My goal is to help you move out of survival mode and into a greater sense of self-trust, clarity, and emotional steadiness. I integrate evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, and Exposure and Response Prevention with a mind-body-spirit approach that supports deeper awareness and regulation of the nervous system.

I specialize in treating Anxiety, Panic Disorder, OCD, Depression, and Substance Use.
Using CBT, we will identify the thought patterns and behaviors that keep you trapped in fear. With ACT, you’ll learn how to respond differently to your thoughts and feelings—so they stop controlling your life. Instead of waiting to feel “better” before you live your life, we focus on helping you move forward with discomfort—guided by what actually matters

I offer video sessions across NY for panic, anxiety, and OCD and also offer in-person sessions in Syracuse, NY.
Do you suffer from panic attacks? Have you started to avoid the places that you had a panic attack in the past because you don't want it to happen again? Or maybe you have missed trips because you're scared to fly? Have you been to the doctor, wore a heart rate monitor, but still check your pulse to get reassurance? Or given up coffee because you don't want to risk the possible anxiety? Maybe you try so hard to not let the panic take over, but the more you try the worse it gets? Could you imagine not feeling like you have to be on guard to stop a panic attack 24/7? I get it. You just want to feel normal again.

Many of the people I help struggle with traumatic memories, obsessive and disturbing thoughts and chronic anxiety and depression.
Within each one of us is an inner child that holds the many hurts of our life. To survive this world, we hide the child away, building strong brick walls, preventing the child from emerging. Sometimes we use our “busyness” to ignore the cries of the child behind the barricades. Or we turn to anger, addiction and numbness to drown out the deafening cries. In our moments of brokenness, we stop and wonder, “Is this how I will have to live the rest of my life?” Trauma touches us all in different ways. The role of a therapist is to guide you through the pain and hurt so you can live a life of intention, meaning and inner peace.

I focus on what I do best: providing high-quality care for OCD, anxiety, and family issues.
My clients are the ones feeling exhausted with their anxiety bullying them and keeping them from living a life they know deep down they deserve. They are the ones who often have scary, unsettling, and relentless intrusive thoughts, images, or urges that are hard to speak about and have tried on their own to get rid of these experiences but haven't found their attempts to be effective long-term. My clients are also families who have heartache and tension, and want to find solutions to work together more effectively to make their home feel like a home again.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
