Stress comes in many shades, regardless of what we face, with no discrepancies of importance, changing how we feel begins with changing our perspective. I aim to guide you through these life challenges and rebuild the mindset that these negative encounters have influenced.

I work with high-functioning, emotionally aware adults who feel stuck in patterns they understand, but can’t seem to change, especially those with ADHD or neurodivergent traits, where intensity, creativity, and overwhelm often exist side by side.
Our work goes beyond insight. We focus on the parts of you that overthink, overwork, or shut down, and begin shifting patterns at the level they actually live. This is a good fit if you feel “on” all the time, stuck in loops, and ready for deeper change. You may understand your patterns well, but still feel stuck in them.

Were you diagnosed with ADHD as an adult or do you strongly suspect you may have it?
This is the heart of the work I do with my clients. There is nothing “wrong” with you and you don’t need to be “fixed”. Through an interpersonal approach, we will explore who you are, what makes you tic, and the systems that work for you. We’ll identify the strengths I know are there and use them to implement the changes you want to make.

The most inspiring part of being a mental health provider is taking a role in the transformation and resilience of a person’s story as they face their mental health challenges. Witnessing the ability to regain inner strength, control over their lives, develop hope, and have the capacity to try has been gratifying both professionally and personally. I choose to continue specializing in mental health and make my compassion, kindness, dedication, and skills available to more individuals who allow me the opportunity to gain their trust and be their provider.

Growing up — and even growing into adulthood — can feel confusing, stressful, and at times, isolating. Many children, teens, and adults quietly struggle with anxiety, big emotions, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. They want to feel calmer, more confident, and more in control — and are looking for practical tools, guidance, and a safe space to grow.

For such children/adolescents dealing with behavioral issues, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, intellectual disabilities, etc.
A major need that children, adolescents, and adults are facing now is how to navigate life throughout this pandemic. As a therapist, I meet where the client is at. I work to build a positive and safe rapport. I utilize the multi-dimensional approach which focuses on how every aspect of an individual’s life is impacted. From the person to their family, friendships and peers, school and/or work environment, to their community, and what is going on in the world. Often many times we are impaired by our lack of coping and adjusting. I assist in exploring and developing ways someone can cope healthier with difficult life circumstances.

ADHD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
