I have a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University and a New York State license in mental health counseling. I use a client-centered approach to counseling and believe each client is an individual with unique issues. As a counselor, I work collaboratively with clients to help them make progress towards their therapeutic goals. I provide a safe, supportive environment throughout the counseling process in order for clients to feel comfortable discussing their most personal issues. Although life is difficult at times, engaging in therapy can prepare you with the skills necessary to manage your stressors and live a healthy, fulfilling life.
I specialize in adolescents, specifically teens with issues with bullying, depression/anxiety, self harm, time management difficulties and pre-college counseling. I also specialize in young adults ages 18-25 with a focus on early adulthood problems. Finally, I specialize in couples counseling and difficulties in interpersonal relationships..
I am an intensively trained DBT therapist and also specialize in working with individuals who possess characteristics of borderline personality disorder. DBT skills groups for adults and multifamily adolescent DBT skills groups will be starting in Fall 2022
