I understand how difficult it can be for some to ask for help. Whether you're considering entering therapy for the first time, or have prior experience, the first priority is on developing a sense of safety in the therapy session. Once a trusting connection is developed, I allow the client to identify their own goals. I believe therapy is about change, but the type of change we work toward and the pace with which we work, is determined by the client. I provide support and guidance in this process.

Each of us have faced painful personal experiences. Pain can be due to events, interactions with others or troubled relationships. Or they can be caused by negative behavior or thought patterns that won’t stop. Sometimes we can address such troubles on their own. However, if you have been unable to resolve difficult issues alone, you may realize how they reduce the quality of your life – by establishing a pattern of emotional problems, an inability to interact productively with others, impacting your career, negatively affect relationships, or create problematic habits. But they can be addressed with help. My hours are M-F 8-4

I collaborate with clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or trauma.
Life can be challenging especially when a person is struggling in their relationships or has been traumatized. These stressors can lead to depression & anxiety. It can help to have a neutral, objective, & non- judgmental person to talk with. I value the opportunity to work as a team using an individual’s self-awareness & their own inner wealth of knowledge as they move towards growth, change, & healing. I use a variety of evidence based treatment approaches personalized for each client. I also use a psycho-educational approach to support individuals as they learn healthier methods to cope with various life stressors.

Our practice focuses on relationships, trauma, and somatic work.
You may feel like you’re living primarily in your head—overthinking, analyzing, or repeating patterns that no longer serve you. We can help you step outside those mental loops and reconnect with your body, emotions, and a deeper sense of self. We'll support you in moving from insight alone into embodiment.

My client focus is working with those who hope to repair relationships past or present, have a desire to uncover past trauma and have a willingness to be open about life shaping experiences throughout their childhood and early adolescence.
I especially welcome those future clients open to exploring their trauma and life experience through a drama therapeutic lens. I believe by highlighting clients’ core strengths through drama therapy and by creating new pathways of healing through creative arts exploration, I can better equip clients to stand confidently and firmly in their truth.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
