Many of my clients want to break free from painful patterns—whether that means healing from past wounds, building self-esteem, problem solving, goal setting, or finding clarity and peace in their personal and professional lives. They want to feel more in control, more aligned with their values, and more connected to themselves and others. They want to build confidence, improve relationships, and navigate life with greater ease and fulfillment. They seek therapy not just to "fix" something but to grow, heal, and thrive. If this resonates with you, you're not alone. Together we will we will work toward the life you deserve.

Life can be very challenging and demanding at times and can often leave us feeling confused, lonely, depressed, and anxious. I believe that addressing our mental health and emotional well being is as important as taking care of our physical health. My first approach to therapy is building a rapport to gain a better understanding to the needs and goals of the individual. We will work as a team to achieve a healthier mental and emotional well being by addressing life's challenges.

Why you suffer may not be obvious; the pain is real, its reasons may be not. To find them out, the difficult, but rewarding work of a psychoanalysis is needed. As your analyst, I will help you identify the forms and the logic of your suffering and, as a result, your reality will begin to change. Many things may be inevitable, but not useless, excessive suffering. The latter can be fundamentally changed, if properly addressed.

Did you know it’s possible to feel calm and in control even when life around you feels chaotic? Your peace doesn’t depend on managing every circumstance—it comes from within. While the world, relationships, and daily life will have ups and downs, your inner calm and joy can remain steady. If you’ve been unhappy with your emotions day after day, remember you have the power to guide them. Your emotions are yours, and learning to manage them is both a responsibility and a meaningful opportunity for growth. And if you need support along the way, reaching out for help is a courageous and caring step. The decision to begin is always yours

Substance Use Therapists
How do substance and drug recovery or rehabilitation programs work?
In inpatient programs, individuals live in a facility with other clients in recovery; in outpatient programs, individuals reside at home. These facilities are staffed with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, psychologists, counselors, and psychotherapists. Staff often also includes people who have recovered themselves, serving as mentors and guides. These programs may use abstinence, harm reduction, detoxification, psychotherapy, and other methods.

How do 12-step programs combined with psychotherapy work?
Members of 12-step programs help each other reach abstinence and work to maintain it. These programs promote complete change in the individual’s emotional, mental, physical, and even spiritual perspectives. Some programs require that new members attend 90 meetings in 90 days. Many people do attend these programs in conjunction with their work in psychotherapy; the combination of therapy along with 12-step can be extremely effective.

How does harm reduction combined with psychotherapy work?
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, harm reduction prevents death, injury, disease, overdose, and substance misuse. People who choose harm reduction for substance use reduce the amount of drugs they consume. It is not abstinence-based like a 12-step program, but combining harm reduction with psychotherapy proves to be effective for many people.

Are there specific medications for substance and drug use?
There are medications approved to treat substance use disorder—such as buprenorphine, methadone, naltrexone, and acamprosate. These medications do help people cope with substance use as well as avoid the problem of relapse. Naltrexone can help reduce cravings, methadone is an opioid medication used to treat severe pain, and acamprosate may help ease symptoms like poor sleep and anxious feelings.
