In my eight years of postgraduate mental health experience, I have gathered a deep understanding that every person is the expert of their own lived experience, which I believe is essential to building connections in the therapeutic relationship. My unique approach to psychotherapy is all about being open and honest with my clients, so not only do they feel like a part of the process, but are steering the therapeutic ship.

I am a registered Somatic Movement Therapist (ISMETA) and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).
We may wisely withdraw, or hold, around moments of threat and overwhelm. But if holding becomes our automatic way of being, even as circumstances change, we may feel increasingly disconnected and less alive. By slowing down, giving ourselves time to notice changes in our experience, we can explore different responses. As we make space in our immediate (experience, relationship and environment) for what is happening now, we can experiment with holding less. And, as we engage our bodies without as much holding, our possibilities for moving, breathing, feeling alive and in relationship to what is beyond us - widen.

Using a somatic and relational approach, I help clients reconnect with themselves from the inside out — working with the body as a doorway into the kind of change that talk therapy alone often can't reach.
My work focuses on nervous system regulation, building a stable sense of self, and helping clients — especially neurodivergent adults — find safety, freedom, and full self-expression. Whether you're processing past trauma, managing anxiety, or navigating a life transition, I'll work alongside you at a pace that feels right for your system.

There are moments in life when turbulence happens. Major life transitions, such as becoming a parent, leaving home as a young adult, or divorce, are events that may cause you to reconsider your values and set new goals. Events that happen as we age , such as health concerns and loss, offer chances to re-adjust priorities.

Did you ever get that feeling when your "spidey senses" are up and there is something about someone you can't pinpoint, but something is off... That is your internal radar sensing something is false, not lining up with that person. You sense it in your soul... Now, what happens when something isn't aligning in our life? We say or think one thing however, inside think or feel another....that is not being our authentic selves- then comes anxiety and depression, feelings of disconnect, feeling alone, misunderstood..distrusting..sound like you? We can't fully connect with others until you fully understand and accept yourself.

My approach is grounded in attachment-based therapy, and I integrate modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), psychodynamic, mindfulness, somatic therapy, and EMDR to support deep, lasting healing.
Many of my clients are creatives, professionals, and people seeking deeper emotional shifts who want to understand long-standing emotional and relational patterns and heal from complex trauma. Therapy offers more than relief; it can be a path toward safety, meaning, and genuine connection.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
