I serve individual adults as a CERTIFIED JUNGIAN ANALYST sensitive to injustice and cruelty within one’s society, work setting, family and/or partnership, and especially within one’s own psyche. This covers your concerns about mood, relationships, sex and sexuality, creativity issues, compulsions, coping with change or loss, lack of passion, disorganization, or effects of neglect, abuse or trauma. Hello, I'm glad you're here. Acknowledging that you need support is the first step in the therapeutic process. Because of the complex nature of the relationships in our lives, it is often helpful have a neutral person to offer a listening ear, guidance, and to facilitate a process of gaining more insight about who you are and learning self-compassion. I can help you in identifying and regulating uncomfortable emotions, changing negative thoughts and patterns, overcoming challenges, strengthening relationships and utilizing coping skills. I look forward to connecting with you and being present with you on this part of your journey.

*MOBILE THERAPY SERVICE* When traditional 'mental health' services are not meeting your needs-CALL. This could be a result from a medical condition, limitations to transportation, or many other reasons that pose a barrier to meeting your emotional support needs in an office. Mobile Therapy is a way to have the service come to you and allow you the ability to mold the service in a way that would be most convenient for you. I view the therapeutic process as a journey, to achieve goals, improve your life for the better and feel that therapy should be catered to your needs.

Have you wondered if you would benefit from therapy? I offer a complimentary consultation to discuss any questions you may have. As a senior therapist at Zackson Psychology Group, I enjoy working with children and adolescents that may be struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral or family issues. You can talk to me about anything; nothing will surprise me. I am accessible to parents and easy to talk to. I focus on your child, recognize their strengths, and develop tools to become their own therapist by learning how to deal with challenges. Clients often feel better early on in treatment.

I have training as a clinical trauma professional and am a NAMA certified
Anger Management
Specialist and am enjoy working with diverse populations.
In a society driven on productivity, performance, and pride, we often forget that we are also people. When we don't feel confident in our ability to handle life in all of its seasons, we often feel the need to protect ourselves or prove ourselves. Our brains can become "programmed" and our emotional and physical needs take the back burner, while we practice being who we "should" be and sacrifice connection to who we are and how to trust. Whether you have been feeling "stuck" or "overwhelmed" for a long or short while, taking the first step to share your journey with a new person is courageous and should feel empowering!

How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
