Do you find yourself feeling sad, lonely, depressed, anxious and isolated? Do you find yourself asking "how did I get here in my life?" The truth is we all ask ourselves this question in different ways. My goal is too help you find your way back to a life that you enjoy. After major life changes, some we created, and others that we could not control, we are left to pick up the pieces of our lives and put our lives back together again. However, the pieces never quite fit back together in the same way. The picture looks different. The experience feels different.

I personally value the in-person interaction that I can offer as a therapist, but can also accommodate telehealth sessions when necessary.
Genuine, honest, caring, interested, easy to talk to, practical. If these are some of the qualities you are looking for in a therapist, we might be a good fit. I am grateful for the privilege of being able to walk beside the people who come to me for therapy. Even though people often come to me feeling anxious, sad or lost, I am naturally drawn to their strengths. A lot of the work I do with my patients centers around helping them to get to know their own strengths.

I have over 30 years experience working as a psychotherapist with a great variety of people who have come to me for help. My style is conversational, engaging and direct - I prefer a humane rather than a clinical approach and I actively participate in creating our work together. I love to help people develop emotionally and be able to make creative changes and meet challenges in their lives. My experience has been that people frequently discover, in their work with me, that they have more resources with which to build their lives than they had previously imagined.

Visit my website (link on menu)! So glad you're here! In my nearly 20 years of clinical experience I’ve learned that much of the dysfunction, frustration, sadness and uncomfortable moments in life are a result of trauma. Big ones, little ones… we are a product of our lived experiences. Some of those lived experiences left us with lasting consequences. Utilizing a comprehensive, but EMDR based approach, we can partner on a recovery journey which is evidence based proven to be effective in these circumstances. I also work with couples and take a diverse approach at treatment - including couples therapy and EMDR when appropriate.

After a crisis, loss or trauma each individual has their own unique way of coping. Sadness, guilt, anger, shock and feelings of helplessness are common. The healing process may begin with the passage of time and the support of loved ones, but many people find that professional help is beneficial during this very vulnerable time. I believe that everyone deserves to feel whole and live a life of joy and purpose. I'm committed to providing a holistic approach to mental health care, that honors the unique complexities of each individual and the mind/body connection.
