" As an openly gay therapist, I’ve navigated these narratives personally.
My approach is compassionate but direct. Using REBT, CBT, and the Gottman Method, we will uncover the irrational beliefs driving your anxiety and relationship patterns. We won't just talk in circles; we will replace those patterns with practical tools you can use immediately. We will work collaboratively and with purpose to create lasting change.

Do you struggle with your relationship to food and your body in ways that affect your daily life? Maybe you’re navigating a major life transition, like becoming a parent, and feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure where to turn. You might find yourself wondering if life could feel more grounded, joyful, and connected. In a world that often feels chaotic and lacking in meaningful support, it’s easy to feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, disconnection, or self-criticism. But healing is possible.

As a mental health professional, i am always guiding clients to make improvements, and it isn’t always easy. I have many clients with different mental health issues. The most ideal situation with my client was when he required assistance with depressed mood and adjustment to new relationship. Assisting my client with adjustment, positive reinforcement, problem-solving skills, communication skills and relaxation techniques was rewarding. I Use that momentum and some carefully chosen resolutions and goals to help my client go into with more hope and lasting, positive changes.

My areas of specialty include trauma, neurodivergence, and LGBTQIA affirming care.
I work with adults who have done the foundational work and are ready to go beneath the surface. I work best with people who want an equal partnership in their healing — those who are willing to look honestly at their patterns and take accountability for their growth and evolution, who are ready to explore and integrate all parts of themselves: their past, their present, and the person they want to become. In addition to traditional one hour therapy sessions, I offer three hour intensives and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. Visit my website for more information.

Our ideal client is someone feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained—often managing anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, or relationship stress. They want clarity, stability, and tools that actually help them cope day to day. They’re seeking a safe, supportive space where they feel heard without judgment and can build insight, resilience, and confidence. Their goal is not just to “feel better,” but to understand themselves, improve relationships, and create lasting, meaningful change in their life.

I specialize in working with adults navigating the psychological, emotional and relational impact of ADHD, along with grief and life transitions. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent 25+ years as a Chief People Officer & organizational development executive and leadership coach within complex organizations. This experience informs my understanding of the real-world experiences my clients face, many who are insightful, sensitive and intuitive thinkers who carry significant responsibility in their work and personal lives yet struggle with emotional regulation, follow-through and the strain of sustaining complex roles over time.

I provide trauma-informed therapy for queer, POC, cross-cultural, and non-monogamous couples and partners to support intimacy through self-awareness and intentionality.
This can be the case for folks who really crave closeness just as much as those who are more aware of the tendency to push it away. In our work together, we will identify and shift deep emotional and behavioral patterns so you feel more grounded, connected, and capable of having the life and relationship you want.

LGBTQ+ Therapists
Do LGBTQ-affirmative therapists receive special training?
Yes. Many therapists who practice LGBTQ-affirmative therapy have completed specialized training, either during their degree program or as continuing education, to learn the core principles of affirmative therapy and how to best support their LGBTQ clients; some have received certifications in LGBTQ-affirmative therapy. Prospective clients should inquire as to a clinician’s background and training to ensure a good fit.

Why might I want to see an LGBTQ-affirming or LGBTQ-friendly therapist?
Queer and gender-non-conforming individuals frequently experience bias and marginalization in day-to-day life. Working with a therapist who understands these unique challenges, as well as accepts and affirms their identity, can help LGBTQ clients feel safe and supported during therapy—allowing them to better navigate their relationships, mental health, and anything else that they wish to explore during therapy. It is important to note that many therapists can be effective in their work with LGBTQ+ individuals, even in the absence of specific training or background knowledge. The most important component in therapy is the alliance between therapist and client, and this alliance can exist between individuals with very different backgrounds.

How can I find an LGBTQ-friendly therapist?
You may wish to inquire about a therapist’s expertise with your specific challenges or concerns—depression, for example, or relationship strife—as well as their past experiences treating LGBTQ+ clients. Prospective clients may also ask whether a therapist has obtained additional training and/or certification in LGBTQ-affirmative techniques.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience with LGBTQ issues?
Prospective clients should feel empowered to directly ask therapists whether they have received training or been certified in LGBTQ-affirming therapy; competent therapists will be happy to explain their educational background and preferred approach(es) to help a client find the best match for them. Clients may also wish to ask how a therapist has treated clients with their particular challenges in the past and what they expect treatment to look like.

Are all the therapists listed in the LGBTQ directory themselves members of the LGBTQ community?
While therapists may choose to disclose their sexual orientation or gender identity in their profiles, the LGBTQ directory features not only those who have shared this information but also those who assert specialized training or experience in providing support to queer individuals, couples or families.
