Have you ever felt like your mind knows you’re safe, but your body hasn't received the message yet? True, lasting change happens when we move beyond just talking and begin to listen to the language of your nervous system. As an EMDR Consultant, I’ve seen how traditional talk therapy can sometimes feel like running in circles. You might understand why you feel the way you do, but the heavy weight of the past still feels physically present. My approach is different: I integrate EMDR and Natural Processing to help you gently bridge that gap between your thoughts and your physical sense of peace.

I know that taking the first step toward focusing on yourself can feel overwhelming — and even a little scary. But you don't have to figure it out alone. I am here to offer a warm, comfortable, and compassionate space where you can slow down, be heard, and begin to heal. My approach is rooted in partnership — I won't simply sit across from you and offer advice, but rather walk alongside you every step of the way, at a pace that feels right for you.

Life is stressful and distracting enough without putting others needs above your own. But that’s what we tend to do! As a result we are left feeling drained. Relationships are complicated – whether it be with yourself or others. Throughout our lifetime relationships are often the most neglected and yet one of the most important. It is through the relationship with yourself and others that personal growth and change develops. This requires looking inward to discover what you need, want, and desire.

I work with adults, couples, and older adolescents I am aware that most of our challenges center around sense of self, relationships with others, peers, a parent or a partner and I welcome the opportunity to work with you in those areas.
Making the choice to seek help can be extremely challenging and anxiety producing. Over the past 30 years, I have been committed and dedicated to helping individuals find positive ways to cope with a variety of stressors. We each experience life a little differently, and something that seems easy to handle for one person may be so difficult for another. Building a relationship is critical along with empowering you to dictate the areas that are most important for your growth and wellness. I strive to develop a nonjudgmental environment to help you best articulate how you are truly feeling.

Navigating through life's challenges can often feel overwhelming, whether it's grappling with feelings of anxiety, uncertainty, or a sense of hopelessness. Though these emotions are a natural part of the human experience, there are times when it can be beneficial to talk to someone who can help you reach a place of growth and healing. At the heart of my practice as a holistic therapist is the belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and encouraged as they work towards their therapeutic goals.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
