I have over 10 years of experience helping adults, teens, and younger (including EI groups), as well as families touched by autism.
Hello! Thank you for selecting my profile. First, I will share a bit about me. Some years ago, while serving as a Behavior Therapist, my top priority, was to provide care with compassion, for all families. I was very blessed to have accomplished that. Not only as a young Behavior Therapist, but as I later became a BCaBA. Today, I embrace this practice even more, as a BCBA. Throughout this journey, the personal reward of serving families touched by autism, has been amazing. I take pride in building great relationships, providing great care, and being a continuous guidance for both clients and families.

My ideal clients are ADHD and autistic teens (13+) and adults carrying trauma, anxiety, or depression, many arriving after years of misdiagnosis and exhaustion from masking to fit a world that wasn't built for their brains.
I pay attention to how race and culture shape masking, misdiagnosis, and access to care, especially for BIPOC clients who've had to navigate this on top of everything else.
I use EMDR, CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and CPT, all adapted to affirm neurodivergent traits rather than pathologize them. I'm always growing my practice; currently deepening my EMDR training.

Hi, I'm Jane Flores, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-D) with Diagnostic Privilege. I specialize in working with young adults navigating social anxiety, depression, and the disorienting stretch of life after college — when the structure, built-in friend groups, and clear next steps disappear, and you're left figuring it out on your own.
I believe the relationship you have with your therapist makes a huge difference. Therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale — where you're working through life with someone who genuinely enjoys talking with you, is invested in your growth, and can help you untangle things.

I have a special interest in supporting adolescents, adults, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and caregivers.
Many people come to therapy because they're feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns they can't seem to change. Others simply want a space where they can slow down, make sense of what they're experiencing, and feel genuinely heard. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not a judgment. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself, asking difficult questions, and exploring what's holding you back from living the life you want and deserve.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.
How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.
How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.
How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
