Are you tired of fighting about the same thing and over again with no change? Maybe you are so sick of the same fights that you don’t even bother to talk about it anymore. So you have come to avoid the problem and just “let it” so that you don’t have to have the same conversation again with no change. You find it difficult to connect about other things. When you are together you are on your phones or watching TV rather than talking to each other. And when you do talk, you seem to only talk about what needs to be discussed when it comes to the kids or logistics. You feel like you are more like room mates coexisting together.

You deserve a life that feels good. We know that even good relationships can get stuck in unhealthy patterns. Do you find that when you are trying to connect with your partner you end up in a cycle of communication that's not helpful or productive? Do you retreat and silence it until next time? There is always next time… Maybe this time they will understand…we become louder in hopes they see how hurt we are.The more we aren't seen and heard the more resentful we become. The explosions become more significant and the intimacy ceases, now you are just resentful roommates. It doesn't have to be this way.

Therapy can be a challenging process of becoming self-aware and accepting. However, this can be eased when you are provided with a safe place to explore your emotions, which is my goal. I have over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescent, and adults doing just this. It is an honor to hear my client's stories and aiding them in their journeys.

Society tells us that being a parent is a special gift. We’re supposed to love every minute of it, be nearly perfect, and never get impatient. That sounds ideal, but the truth is that parenting is hard. Being a kid is hard. I challenge you to find a parent who has never lost their temper, or a child who never complains! And when we do get it right we don’t usually get much recognition. That’s the difficult news. The good news is that parents and children can learn to have stronger connections, more fun together, and actually look forward to their time as a family. You may just need more support, education, and the tools to do it.
