I work integratively, drawing on evidence-based therapies like CBT, CBT-I (for insomnia), and cognitive processing therapy—while tailoring each approach to your personal and cultural context.
Life changes can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself or those around you. You may be facing a medical diagnosis, caring for a loved one, feeling the weight of aging—or simply struggling to find your footing in a changing chapter of life. My goal is to help you manage these transitions with strength, compassion, and evidence-based support. As a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in health and aging, I help with adapting to health-related and emotional transitions, drawing on cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT, CBT-I), trauma-focused work, and motivational approaches.

To me, mental health is just as important as healthy eating and regular exercise. Similarly, you may not see results right away, it can be painful at times, but over time you can start to see the changes.

I am a neurodivergent therapist that specializes in helping clients with ADHD, insomnia, trauma, and relationship struggles.
I firmly believe that no one approach is helpful on its own and so I like to grab from different modalities and shift my therapy style to fit your needs. My approach is rooted in existential analysis, trauma informed care, and at times solution focused. For those looking to treat insomnia, I also offer CBT-I sessions.

You may feel like you have to do everything possible to protect your sleep, as if it's a fragile bubble that can be popped at any moment.
Sometimes we struggle with feelings of sadness, anxiety and doubt, or we feel stuck in our personal or professional lives. That can cause us to compare ourselves to other people, or to tell ourselves “I should be able to do this on my own! It's wrong to feel this way.” This kind of thinking rarely eases our pain, and often makes us feel more isolated and helpless. Therapy can help you break this cycle. I will work with you to develop a more nuanced and compassionate view of yourself and your difficulties, so that you can find relief from the burdens that you have been carrying and find meaning and joy in your life.

As a licensed clinical psychologist in NY/NJ, I treat anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, plus sleep/chronic pain/cancer/health issues for individuals aged 13 and up.
Do you feel like you're caught in a cycle of burnout, struggling to keep up with life's relentless pace? It's incredibly draining to face each day feeling depleted and overwhelmed, especially when stress, past trauma, or significant loss are weighing you down. This can make common challenges like anxiety and depression feel insurmountable. But even when things feel heavy, know this: You possess an inherent capacity for healing and growth. I'm here to guide you in releasing what's holding you back, helping you restore your energy and reconnect with your innate sense of wholeness and personal power.

I bring these skills into the therapy room along with extensive training in DBT, CBT-I for insomnia, and DBT-PE for PTSD/Trauma.
I’m a Licensed Social Worker in the State of New York, and I use my straightforward nature—and a healthy sense of humor—to build real, genuine connections with my clients. I work especially well with people who often feel misunderstood or struggle to stay confident in tough situations. I see therapy as a space where passionate, driven individuals come to learn how to navigate intense or overwhelming emotions, and I help you use your innate strengths to build a full, meaningful life where you can face challenges with resilience.

Psychological distress often arises when there’s a gap between who we are and who we want to be. Internal challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or addiction—and external pressures such as relationships, work demands, and systemic injustice—can all create barriers to growth. Our goal as therapists is to help clients reconnect with their values and move toward a more fulfilling life through evidence-based, integrative, and compassionate care tailored to each person’s unique needs and experiences.

My mission as a therapist is to build an authentic, trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore who you are and what you need. Feeling secure, heard, and accepted is the foundation for working through the struggles that may be holding you back. I work with adults navigating adjustment, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and depression. Rather than viewing you as your symptoms, I tailor my approach to your unique needs, using techniques like CBT and psychodynamic therapy to support lasting change and help you show up as your full, authentic self.

If talk therapy has done little for your anxiety, insomnia or stress, 1) you're not alone, and 2) there is an alternative.
With just 2 to 4 sessions we see phobias, and fears dissipate even as sleep improves (my Amazon best-seller is "Rewired for Sleep, The 28 Day Insomnia Repair Program). Teeners respond to hypnosis for confidence building, study techniques and sports enhancement. I am New York State licensed since 1995. Let us research whether your plan covers treatment.

My advanced graduate degrees in Human Sexuality and Health along with becoming a Clinical Social Worker have allowed me to help people explore in a safe caring environment, aspects of their human nature that influence their feelings, thoughts, and behavior. I am curious and motivated about people and feel excited to help them on their journey about what makes them joyful along with the obstacles that get in their way to that joy.

I use a practical approach to treat problems such as anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders that may keep us from what we desire.
Therapy is an experience that can benefit everyone. It allows us to take the time to look closely at ourselves. It can help us manage difficult life changes and improve our relationships. Everyone experiences stress and worry, and speaking with a psychologist who is nonjudgmental and objective can help us understand how to achieve our professional, personal, and relationship goals.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
