As a woman of color and therapist, my identity has shaped the way I show up in the room. I understand firsthand that culture, background, and lived experiences are not separate from the healing process, they're central to it. I bring a culturally attuned, warm, and integrative approach to therapy, and I work with adults across all backgrounds who are navigating life's challenges, whether that's anxiety, depression, major transitions, generational patterns, or simply that feeling that something needs to change.

I believe that therapy can be transformative, but your success depends on the trust we build in our relationship. I provide warmth, nonjudgement, and honesty in our conversations, along with a psychodynamic approach designed to help you achieve insight. People often turn to therapy when they feel trapped. You and I will work together toward release, whether that involves managing anxiety, depression, patterns of behavior, relationship dynamics, the impact of trauma, or something else. Our goal will be for you to recognize and act on opportunities for positive change.

Are you motivated to make a change in your life? Are there issues in your personal life in regards to dealing with stress, anxiety, or depression, and identifying that your current coping skills are not working for you? The goal is to build awareness and knowledge and acquire skills that help you become independent in facing future challenges. I want to help you grow as an individual, and learn how to better understand yourself emotionally, and put action outside of therapy into achieving goals of independent coping with the stressors you are facing.

You may feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, or self-criticism, or weighed down by depression, trauma, or OCD. Maybe relationships feel hard, or you’re going through a life transition and questioning what you want next. You’re insightful but tired of repeating the same patterns. You want relief, but also deeper understanding of yourself—why you feel the way you do and how to move forward with more clarity, self-compassion, and intention.

Whether anxiety has your mind in overdrive, depression is making everything feel heavy, or stress and burnout are wearing you down, it can feel hard to see a path forward. Maybe you're second-guessing everything or feeling disconnected from what once brought joy. It’s exhausting to do this alone - but you don’t have to. I help adults navigate anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and big life transitions. I work especially well with deep feelers, overthinkers, and those who’ve always taken care of others but are now wondering, when is it my turn to feel okay? I offer in-person sessions in Park Slope and telehealth across New York.

If life has felt particularly difficult or confusing lately, therapy can help create space for insight, compassion and change. I work with people experiencing relationship difficulties, career confusion, life changes and other stressors. We will pay attention to frustrating patterns, conflicting thoughts and feelings, and building a strong sense of self. Those I work with have often realized that their current ways of being are no longer working, and in seeking therapy are taking an important, difficult and necessary step to move forward.

Growing up with a Narcissistic Parent was like living in emotional captivity. You never had the chance to figure out what you wanted because your parent’s voice was so dominating and overwhelming. Now, you realize that you’ve still never escaped that manipulation and guilt, and lack personal agency. You keep wondering if there’s any way to fix things. You desperately wish that there was some way to escape the feelings of guilt and shame. And when you think about your future, your greatest fear is that you’ll repeat these same toxic patterns with your own family. You feel so helpless.
