Ever feel like you’re carrying the weight of your own thoughts and emotions, even though you know yourself better than most? My ideal client is someone just like that—self-aware, capable, and emotionally intelligent, yet still feeling unfulfilled. They have the insight and clarity they need but may need guidance to release what’s holding them back and step fully into alignment with who they truly are.
Therapy, in this space, becomes a chance to pause, reflect, and untangle life’s complexities with support and understanding. My role isn’t to give answers, they’re already within you, but to help you uncover them.

You've been through things that have shaped you in ways that are hard to explain. Maybe you've spent years in therapy that never quite reached the depth you needed — or you've avoided it because you didn't trust that a therapist would actually get you. You're queer, trans, BIPOC, neurodivergent, or navigating identity in a world that wasn't built with you in mind. You're tired of shrinking yourself to be understood. You want something real: healing that honors your whole story, your body, your spirituality, your complexity. You're ready to stop surviving and start integrating.

My goal, as a therapist, is to provide you with a non-judgmental and affirmative environment for self exploration and personal growth. While I draw from a variety of modalities, my therapy practice is rooted in a psychodynamic approach. In sessions, we will examine your sense of self, the ways that you navigate the world, and the patterns that have emerged in your relationships. We will work together to understand beliefs and dynamics that might be interfering with your wellbeing and help you move towards change.

As Black men a lot of us have been socialized in ways that makes maintaining deep relationships a challenge. Whether the cause is unresolved trauma, communication skills with room for improvement, socialization of our masculinity or anything else, allowing the issue to go unresolved creates tension where there could be harmony. A lot of us developed defenses for remaining safe in a world we feel isn’t safe for us. We also develop dynamics in our relationships where we may continue deploying defenses in safe spaces, preventing ourselves from receiving love and loving to our fullest capacity.

Living with depression is like living with thick fog that rolls into your life and affects everything meaningful in its path. It changes everything about you … how you think, feel and function in daily activities. It may have even started interfering with your ability to work, study, eat, sleep, and enjoy life. The people close to you probably have noticed, but they don’t know how to help you, and you don’t know how to help yourself. Trying to get through the day is overwhelming and seems like an impossible task. Seeking help from a therapist can seem scary because you want to make sure you choose someone who you truly connect with.
