My job as a therapist is to help you explore yourself and decide what you want to do with that information. Life can be challenging and sometimes we find ourselves in somewhat of a cycle wondering 'why does this keep happening?' I invite you to take control of your situation and find the courage to move in a new direction. This journey can lead you to resolution and growth as you incorporate what you learn in therapy to your everyday life.

I’m a licensed creative arts therapist who’s passionate about helping people like you embrace the messy truth of life. While we often long for issues and solutions to come wrapped up in a tidy little package, that’s not often the reality. I believe that accepting and leaning into this truth is the key to a meaningful, balanced life. I help folks from all walks of life tap into their own inner wisdom. I especially enjoy supporting people in navigating anxiety, trauma, and communication breakdowns within their relationships. Members of the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities are wholeheartedly welcome in my practice.

A large percentage of clients find themselves in chaotic or repetitive situations. They search for an understanding of the origin of their dysfunction and want to move forward in their lives. Therein lies the mystery that we work to solve together. Often, clients desire to know and understand themselves and work with self-esteem issues. Self-esteem often lies at the root of many problems such as relationships, career goals, and social needs. Further, many have a trauma history and would like to work on how that trauma affects their present lives.

Sometimes using words can only paint a portion of the picture to reflect our current situation. Often I find that using other forms of expression can truly help depict the magnitude of how one may be feeling. Art therapy can be an effective tool in the therapeutic journey to bridge the gap between what is felt and what is said in sessions. In my sessions I enjoy trying to help clients understand themselves better and empower them in ways that promote healing.

You're trying your hardest to feel connected to your loved one(s) but instead you end up feeling the opposite. You're tired of overthinking and missing the mark. You might be experiencing the "what ifs" as I call them: "What if my partner is unable to meet my needs? Maybe they don't care to...What if breaking up is the best thing? Do they even love me?" I want you to wake up excited to spend the day with your partner...and actually enjoy the day together! Without any casual conversations turned fights, without avoiding intimacy, without constantly triggering one another. Healthy communication not only exists, it's within your reach.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel scary, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I have experience working with children, young adults, & adults facing challenges like mood disorders & addiction. I believe people are inherently good & that emotions & behaviors are influenced by factors such as chemical imbalances, genetics, psychological dynamics, or social experiences, including traumatic life events. While I’m passionate about helping adult children of immigrant parents, my approach is inclusive & adaptable. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel seen, heard, & supported as you work toward a fulfilling life.

Finding the space to just be can be very hard. Especially if you feel like you don’t belong in that space; be it cultural, social, or political. When it feels like life can be too much and putting a band aid on the wound isn’t helping, therapy can be that space for diving deep into your heart, mind, body, and soul. And I would be honored to be there and guide you as you embark on this path. I work with clients who are in transitional moments of their lives, whether it is entering a relationship, leaving one, or figuring out the in-between. Together, we can cultivate a space that will help you align with your true self.

Reaching out to a therapist can be a daunting task. It is difficult to make changes and break unhealthy patterns and anxiety and depression can feel crippling. Therapy can play a large role in helping individuals lead happier, more productive lives. We all face challenges but with the proper support, your challenges do not need to define you or stop you from achieving happiness and success. I draw from different modalities to help my clients, including Psychodynamic, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), as I believe in treating each client as an individual.
