Most of the clients I see have a history of trauma—physical or sexual abuse, neglect, or developmental trauma, which is the residue of dysfunctional caregiving. I believe strongly that people are naturally inclined to heal; our bodies and minds lean toward wholeness, even if it often feels like we can’t get there. While we go on with our day-to-day lives, acting as though everything is okay, the parts of us that were hurt—most often young parts—are still waiting and hoping for some kind of resolution to their pain. In therapy we look for those parts and take care of them; we nurture them and help them heal.

I am here to support you in better understanding how you experience joy and process suffering. If you feel stuck, isolated, or constantly in your head, there are ways to work towards being more present and shedding old patterns. Our journey together can help you heal old wounds and find safety in your relationship with self and others. My focus includes working with clients who have undergone major life transitions including trauma, leaving home, loss of community, and moving through different life stages. I light up working with young people transitioning to adulthood, new/expecting parents, and 1st/2nd gen immigrants.

My work engages people of all backgrounds, but with a particular emphasis on LGBTQ clients. I see clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD and other mental health concerns, as well as life transitions or stressful moments who need support while they move through adjustment issues or simply "feeling stuck".

My practice is dedicated to creating a safe environment in which clients feel understood, respected and challenged. This allows us to dig deeper into what isn’t feeling right inside and to uncover greater capacity to deepen your connection to yourself and others. I use a holistic and experiential approach to therapy based in attachment, psychodynamic and body based practices. I take in the entirety of you, and make meaning of historical wounds that have kept you from living out your desires- a life of more ease. This allows you to take risks, to know what you need, and to find new ways of approaching your experiences and patterns.

It feels like you and your partner are caught up in a negative spiral - repeating the same arguments, misunderstandings, and patterns that leave you feeling hurt, frustrated, and disconnected. You want to improve how you are with each other, to feel closer and more supported, but it may seem just out of reach. It may be that your relationship is weighed down by unresolved hurts or the stress of life changes, and you are struggling to find your way back to the deep connection you both desire. Building a stronger partnership starts with taking charge of your life and seeking help to break the cycle.

Life can lead us to existential confusion, self-doubt, and seeming psychological impasses that can impact our relationships, careers, creative life, and health. Behavioral patterns can seem intractable, and past trauma can resurface in the present, making day-to-day stressors a burden. I will collaborate with you on cultivating a non-judgmental curiosity about your experience, both past and present, and on finding more freedom and agency to lead life in a fulfilling and healthy way.

Vulnerability allows for a transformative experience. Nothing you bring to the session is "too much" or “too little”, I will always celebrate your honesty with genuine empathy and curiosity. I believe that we must feel our feelings deeply to inspire insight, growth, and change. Our collaborative efforts involve delving into your thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors to better understand your internal world. Together, we will work to help you identify distressing beliefs and cycles, build upon your strengths, and navigate how you'd like to change the patterns that no longer serve you.

My passion is to create a space where conversations about mental health feel as natural and open as they deserve to be. My journey in the mental health field began with a deep curiosity about human connection and a desire to understand the unique ways each of us experience and express our emotions.

Trauma isn’t just about what happens to you; it’s about how those experiences can change your life. We are all living for the first time and no one deserves to spend it suffering in silence with anxiety, depression, trauma, or feelings of being "stuck" in life. Let’s reclaim your sense of self, build your resilience, and learn how to willingly embrace happiness over fear. Abundance is your birthright, and merely surviving should never feel like enough. Together, let’s discover the strength within you to take bold steps toward healing.
