I specialize in helping adults who struggle with anxious attachment, codependency, people-pleasing, and low self-worth.
You’re the one everyone turns to—calm, capable, put together. But underneath it all, you’re exhausted from overthinking, overgiving, and never feeling like enough. You second-guess your relationships, your boundaries, even your own needs. If you’re stuck in patterns of anxious attachment, people-pleasing, or self-doubt, I’m here to help you slow down, untangle the noise, and reconnect with yourself.

Your life looks great on paper and on the surface you are thriving…and yet, underneath it all, there is a sense of dread, life feels dull, and it feels like you’re stuck on autopilot. Do you find yourself thinking over and over again about the same events or memories from your life? Do you find yourself withdrawing from your closest relationships? Are you noticing that you have a short fuse? Many times the unresolved hurt in our past re-emerges in our present. Addressing these recurring patterns and their lingering effects is possible.

Let’s be real - therapy should actually help. Not just feel nice (though that’s good too). You’re probably here because something isn’t working: maybe you’re stuck in your head, burned out, anxious, grieving, or just generally over it. You want things to get better, and I want that too. My style is active, collaborative, and goal-oriented. We’ll figure out what matters to you, what’s getting in the way, and what actually helps. I don’t just nod and ask how you feel about that (unless that’s useful). But if you want to feel seen, supported, and gently pushed, we’ll probably work well together.

Divorce does not have to happen. When my wife told me our marriage was in trouble, I was shocked. When she said I was hard to communicate with, I was enraged. Today I am beyond grateful that rather than stay in the hell of anger, defensiveness & blame, I went back to therapy and we also went to couples therapy. Things are WAY better as a result, which is incredibly satisfying, and also our kids reap the benefits. Subsequently, I've done a very deep dive into the most trusted models of couples therapy and have found the wisdom therein to be priceless. If you are looking for relationship help, please feel free to contact me.

I conduct both therapy and neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. Deepening self-understanding is central to my work. I aim to foster a spirit of curiosity, compassion, and a healthy dose of humor, as we delve into what can sometimes be difficult waters, working to understand your fears, desires, and motivations. My therapy is rooted in attachment theory - focusing on how our emotional lives are embedded in early experiences with significant others. My neuropsychological testing perspective is holistically rooted, as I aim to understand how our many parts interact to impact our functioning.

You're a therapist seeking therapy. After years being a client in traditional talk therapy, you're seeking something deeper - somatic, creative and spiritually grounded. You've always been a seeker, drawn to meditation, reiki, tarot or astrology. Being a therapist is your calling, but as a highly sensitive person, the emotional weight can be overwhelming. You may have grown up with a narcissistic parent and are now setting boundaries - or choosing estrangement for your own protection. You want tools to manage your energy, heal from a toxic family system and finally tend to the trauma that has been holding you back from thriving.

As a therapist with over 30 years experience, I focus my practice on life transitions such as divorce, grief/loss, retirement, medical issues, ageism, "empty nest" syndrome and moving. I also assist in helping clients, couples and families struggling with relationships and/or addictions. Once thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are validated, discussed, re-structured, and re-directed, an opportunity for positive transformation, for better physical and emotional health, and for a wonderful quality of life will result.

I want to hear all about the challenges life has thrown at you. This might sound weird coming from a therapist, but therapy is not for everyone. If you are ready to do the work, I would be thrilled to walk by your side. It takes uncommon courage to examine your mind, your relationships, and ultimately your life. In my practice, we create an intentional relationship rooted in warmth and curiosity.

Maybe you feel stuck, whether that's in a relationship that no longer fits or weighed down by questions about identity, work, or what you truly want in your life. You have always had a strong intuition, but lately it’s been harder to trust. On paper, your life looks full with friends, hobbies, and a stable job, but inside you feel stressed, disconnected, and unsure of your next steps. At times it feels like you’re going through the motions without a clear sense of what feels authentic to you.

Despite the fact that we are adults, we all have an inner child inside us. Inner child governs our relationships, satisfaction of life. Abusive parents can wound inner child. Typical sighs of this : Problems with romantic intimate relationships and friendships (dependency ,or isolation), trust issues. Self-abuse and low self esteem provoke inability to appreciate one's worthiness. The talents will continue to be undermined. Distorted body image. Psychosomatic problems, overweight, inability to fulfill the needs. Lacking confidence, fear of being hurt interrupt motivation to find a stable and loving relationships People tend to unwittingly replicate the abusive early experience

We all go through difficult times in life. We hurt, grieve, feel sad, angry and anxious, we become frustrated, get stuck on something or someone and often do not know how to move on.“The best way out is always through” said the poet Robert Frost and I believe that this is a great metaphor for the process of psychotherapy. It is not easy to face our problems, be vulnerable in front of another person, reveal our fears and anxieties or experience uncomfortable emotions. It takes courage to ask for help and begin therapy and I have tremendous respect for anyone who is willing to do so.

When life feels heavy and you've drifted away from what makes you feel alive, it's natural to wonder how to find your way back. If you're caught in cycles of discontent, anxiety, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed, know that transformation is possible.

You have come to therapy looking for relief and a fuller life. Perhaps you are experiencing sadness, hurt, and longing. Maybe you are struggling in relationships or feeling exasperated from the demands of life. It's hard finding yourself spiraling into an inner monologue of self-blame, feeling that you are “not enough” for others. It's likely you crave joy, confidence, and ease from that relentless inner critic-longing for an authentic connection not only to others but to yourself. I am here to help you to identify and remove those barriers interfering with your journey of trust, love, and self connection.

This work tends to resonate with people who are ready to face themselves with honesty and compassion. Many have already done extensive insight-oriented or intellectual work, yet sense that real change and transformation ask for attunement to the body, emotions, and energetic responses, not just the mind (although it is our ally). If there is a readiness or curiosity to get intimate with the nervous system, learn tools that cultivate a felt sense of safety from within, and use that internal guidance and wisdom to move forward with greater clarity and trust, this work may be a meaningful fit.

I specialize in issues of Codependency.
Have you ever wondered why people in different areas of your life treat you the same way? Have you ever wondered why you are never included in the fun, or always expected to be the one to put the plans together for everyone else? Do you sometimes think that everyone is judging you or do you spend countless hours in your head judging yourself? Do you take pride in your perfectionism and yet procrastinate for hours on end? Do you ever wonder why that is? If you have ever had a thought similar to these or felt anxious or depressed because of situations like these, maybe its time to talk?

What therapy types help with codependency problems?
Both couples and family therapy and cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) can help with the relationship difficulties referred to as codependency. Such problems typically include inappropriate feelings of responsibility for a loved one’s destructive behavior, irrational patterns of thinking about such behavior, and family interaction patterns in which the needs of one troubled member override the needs of others in a household.

What happens in therapy for codependency?
Spouses and family members learn and practice how to interact and support each other in a healthy way without sacrificing their own needs or well-being. They learn the limits of their responsibility for their loved ones and correct faulty patterns of thinking and feeling that underlie codependent behavior. Individuals may be encouraged to nurture an array of social relationships and to cultivate their own talents and interests so that they develop a healthy sense of self outside the family.

How does therapy help a person or couple overcome codependency?
Therapy helps people establish healthy ways of being in a relationship. Spouses and family members learn how to nurture and support one another without sacrificing their own needs or allowing the needs of one person to dominate the dynamic. Individuals learn how to say no and set boundaries, and how to maintain their own identity and self-esteem. Therapy helps people understand that they are not responsible for the feelings and actions of others. It also helps individuals deal with the turbulence that can come from living with a person suffering from such conditions as substance abuse and mental illness.

What is the goal of therapy for codependency?
One goal of therapy for codependency is to alleviate feelings of responsibility for and correct irrational patterns of thinking about loved ones whose behavioral problems override the needs of others in a household. Therapy helps people establish healthy boundaries of behavior and speak up for their own needs in a relationship. In addition, people learn how to maintain a healthy relationship, one in which both parties give and receive equally and are able to retain their own identity.
