My work with clients begins with the premise that every human being is born with infinite potential, regardless of the circumstances or origins of their birth. My goal is to invite clients on a journey of awareness, self-discovery, and hope. Under the blueprint of a Cognitive Behavioral approach, I become a journeying companion to my clients, challenging imbedded notions that may have become faulty beliefs and assumptions. I believe in our therapeutic alliance as part of a healing dynamic, and clients receive practical tools and science-based instruments to address their concerns.

“What’s the problem?” rather than “Who’s the problem?” or “Who’s at fault?” is the focus of the therapy process I use with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. It is not always easy to accept that what you’re doing to improve things for yourself and/or for others is not working, which in turn can often make it difficult to seek help. If you’re ready to work at trying a different approach to improving the quality of life for yourself and others, then you have already begun to increase the chances of positive changes and improvement in the problems and issues you struggle with.

I'm a fully licensed professional who, during a successful career directing programs on Long Island and Queens has moved completely into private practice. I continue to update my knowledge. I am compassionate, honest and want to provide you with the tools necessary to overcome any issue, whether from your family of origin, current relationships or work/school related. I offer guidance and healing, teaching you skills necessary to meet the challenges we face in life, from anxiety, depression, alcohol/substance abuse or religious/spiritual conflicts. As someone who has counseled people for over thirty years, I have experience helping people with many different and difficult types of life issues. In addition to working with individuals, I am also comfortable working with both couples and families.
