I am passionate about helping people across the lifespan experiencing obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma-related disorders, anxiety disorders, and depression reach their goals and learn strategies and skills to overcome their disorders.
My approach is client centered and collaborative; you are the expert in your life and we work together to help you meet your goals. I use a variety of evidence-based treatment methods (methods research has found to be more effective than general talk therapy like ERP and the Unified Protocol) to help you get the results you want as quickly as possible.

I also enjoy working with individuals navigating OCD and anxiety.
It is my passion and privilege to work with women who have experienced traumatic events. Whether stemming from childhood trauma, abuse, betrayal, or significant life changes, this pain often manifests as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties. Even with our best efforts to make changes, these obstacles can feel difficult to overcome. Healing isn’t always linear. Some days feel harder than others, overwhelming and uncertain. These moments are part of being human, and you don't have to navigate them alone.

I specialize in trauma work using EMDR and other approaches, and also work with anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, burnout, and related concerns.
Therapy with me focuses on more than understanding patterns—it’s about shifting them at the level they're held in the nervous system. We work to increase regulation, expand capacity, and create lasting change that goes beyond insight alone. I also offer EMDR intensives, which are extended sessions designed for focused, deeper therapeutic work.

We all view the world through a lens shaped by our personal history, environment, and expectations. But life’s challenges such as trauma, grief, or chronic stress can cloud or distort that lens, leaving us feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I believe we each have an innate resilience, even when our perspective feels foggy, scratched, or shattered. My therapeutic work is grounded in a holistic, integrative approach, helping you explore how you’ve navigated life so far and what strengths you can build on to move forward with clarity and purpose. I specialize in helping clients reclaim clarity, confidence, and connection at their own pace.

You are a gift. A miracle. You were born a champion! You were born and brought into this world in pure love. As we experience our life, things happen that cause us to shift from that pure love to emotional discord. As a result, we grow apart from our true self, that pure love. For some, emotional disturbances or conditions develop such as anxiety, depression, anger, negative thinking or self-doubt. I have 25 years experience working with children, adolescents and adults using traditional therapy and cutting edge non-traditional techniques that will help you get you to your goal.

My clients come to see me seeking assistance for a wide variety of issues related to anxiety, depression, mental/physical illness, grief and loss, trauma, stress, and unexplained anger. I believe in exploring issues from a family perspective; where did you come from and how did you come to be who, and how, you are? When you struggle in your life, it can sometimes become too easy to focus solely on what is wrong, forgetting what is right. Working together, you can get back on the right path.

Life can feel incredibly heavy at times, and it can feel like it won't let up. You may be struggling with anxiety, trauma, or patterns that persist despite your best efforts. It might be hard to put into words what you are experiencing, whether you are new to therapy or have been in it before. You deserve a space where your symptoms are not treated as a problem to be solved, but where you are seen as a person who needs a safe place to land. My goal is to help you build the tools and self-understanding needed to navigate daily life with more ease.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
