I have experience helping adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, bipolar and other psychotic disorders, and interpersonal relationships.
Hello, I am a compassionate licensed mental health counselor who believes that one of the bravest things anyone can do is begin to understand their own story. Problems rooted in childhood result in low self-esteem and can block your ability to move forward. Change is a journey that comes with challenges that can be difficult to manage alone and reaching out for help is the solution. I would be honored to be part of that journey with you.

My specialties include anxiety issues, alcohol and substance use disorders, trauma, bipolar disorder , compulsive behaviors, relationship and situational issues.
I practice solution-based therapy. During our first meeting, we will discuss your goals and determine if I am the right therapist to assist you in meeting them. If so, I will work with you in a safe, collaborative, confidential space to solve the issues that bring us together. We assess our progress as we go to make sure that I am hearing and understanding you, and that you are getting what you need from our work together.

Normal is just a setting on your dryer. If you agree with this, then I'm your guy! I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach. I work collaboratively with individuals to help them achieve the skills and insight they need to successfully navigate through challenges posed by daily stressors, including, but not limited to: relationships, work, school, and physical illness. By providing a holistic approach, I support individuals in achieving their overall health; physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I will respectfully consider your cultural background, religion, and personal beliefs while working together.

Finding a therapist that is a good fit for you, especially now, can be extremely challenging! At the same time, that's exactly what I believe makes therapy effective, having a good working relationship between therapist and client. Perhaps you know what you're struggling with, but need a neutral, warm person to ask the right questions. I believe that the most important aspect of participating in therapy is that the client feels seen, understood, and supported. Whether your goals are to develop healthy relationships or work on coping skills for intense emotions, I hope to be able to be a guiding light on your own personal journey.

Please feel free to check out my Introduction Video at https://youtu.be/ytYmG-2v4c4 to learn more about me as practitioner and person. Clients often come to therapy, initially, with symptoms of anxiety, significant stress, exhaustion, depression, anger, etc. I am here to listen while the Client talks through current and past issues that have led to the onset of these symptoms. The goal is 1) for me to offer education (about symptoms, causes, patterns, coping, wellness, communication, etc.), and 2) for the client to discover the answers they have inside of themselves and develop confidence in ones' self.

I work best with people who have the drive and motivation to live a fulfilling life, but continue to find that something just doesn't click. By this, I mean that they may feel constantly hard on themselves, nervous and tense, or haunted by their past. These people know that there is something inside of them that can reach their potential, but they don't know where to start looking for it.

Bipolar Disorder Therapists
The defining feature of bipolar disorder is mania. It can be the triggering episode of the disorder, followed by a depressive episode, or it can first manifest after years of depressive episodes. The switch between mania and depression can be abrupt, and moods can oscillate rapidly. But while an episode of mania is what distinguishes bipolar disorder from depression, a person may spend far more time in a depressed state than in a manic or hypomanic one.
