Life can be difficult. When those around us invalidate our feelings, tell us "if only we would do this" we would feel better, try to "jolly us" out of it, or do anything to try and change who we are in this moment and what we are feeling, we feel unseen, unheard, and incredibly alone. You are not alone. This moment will pass, you can learn and grow through it, and because of these moments you can become someone you never even imagined. Someone beyond your current wildest dreams full of strength, wisdom, and courage. And sometimes you need someone to walk that path with you, to help you find yourself.

I became a therapist because of many different reasons but the most uncomplicated reason is - I love helping, challenging, being in relationship with and motivating people. I have numerous skills and abilities in meeting people where they are at and helping them move forward toward health and happiness. I have a very direct and focused energy which I use to help my clients achieve their goals.

Waitlist for new clients
3-4+ month Waitlist! As a Hispanic therapist, I enjoy working from an emotions focused lens with an emphasis in trauma work through EMDR. Though I incorporate soft challenges and value transparency, clients deserve to have their story heard in a safe space free of judgement and criticism. I have experience working with a diverse client population which includes suicide, self-harm, anxiety, depression, identity/cultural issues, body image and family reconciliation. I speak Spanish and encourage Spanglish sessions. Forming a collaborative therapeutic relationship is the most important stage before we explore your experiences together!

Hi there! I believe that in order to reach our maximum potential, we must work to both accept our emotions, and change our unhealthy behaviors. I believe in using evidence-based treatment practices to target powerful change. I am a strong proponent of both education and deep understanding in therapy. I have extensive education in several specialties utilizing mindfulness, neurobiology, and attachment. This combination makes me unique in being able to offer tools, answers, and deliver powerful and lasting results. I am not the listen and nod therapist. I will give you tools to change your life for the better!

I have worked with a wide range of issues, including depression, family conflict, anxiety, loss, mental health diagnoses, and adjustment difficulties. I've spent many years evaluating and observing people. What I've found is that many of their symptoms, anxiety, depression, substance abuse or other addiction issues, etc. usually stem from one or more traumatic experiences they've had. I define a traumatic experience as any event in a person's life that causes one to make a person feel unsafe. What happens next is that even if people don't remember in their mind, their bodies usually do and this causes a person to feel unsafe no matter where they are.

Fundamentally I believe in meeting a client where he, she, or they are at in the moment. Knowing where a client is followed by learning where they want go in personal development. Working with clients to help them along their journey to that goal. Sometimes goals change, or circumstances emerge that alter a path. Transitioning to new goals or paths, or after bump in the road or derailment getting back on track is not easy. Everyone needs support to help through transitions and hurdles. One of the most difficult things a person does is ask for help –walking through the door the first time.

Life sometimes presents challenges that require one to seek out help. Oftentimes, those challenges can be learning experiences that help one grow and heal. Do you need help with a specific problem that is affecting your life or do you just need general guidance about discovering who you are? My aim is to meet you where you are currently and then partner with you to find solutions for your mental health concerns. Making the decision to seek out therapy can be difficult for some and I will work to make the experience comfortable, safe, and as non-judgmental as possible.
