Lisa enjoys working with families, couples and individuals and uses an eclectic blend of theories to help people with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship problems, trauma, communication and family difficulties. Further, Lisa has been intensively trained in CBT and DBT and has significant experience working with at risk adolescents in outpatient settings, as well as juvenile detention system and residential treatment. Lisa completed additional studies and is certified as a grief therapist through PESI.

My career began working with clients as a nutrition and personal training coach over 10 years ago. In doing so, I found great success facilitating physical transformation every day and, subsequently, loved seeing my clients make emotional gains just the same. My philosophy has grown throughout the years to meet my clients where they are at while maintaining a flexible and client-centered approach and working toward reaching ones full potential. Further, I strongly value mutual trust, acceptance, and spontaneity in building the counselor/client relationship.

I use an integrative, holistic approach and most often uses CBT and ACT modalities, and have been trained and use EMDR and Prolonged Exposure in the treatment of trauma and OCD, while promoting change and acceptance. My clinical interests are primarily anxiety and trauma and I truly believe increased knowledge and awareness are the key to learning to manage life's stressors.
