— Follow my website link to schedule yourself today! — Change isn’t a matter of becoming someone new; change is about getting to know yourself better. It’s common to feel trapped by our thoughts and emotions. As a result, we tend to avoid them because anything is better than overthinking or feeling miserable. While the mind is powerful, it’s far from perfect. In all of its efforts to protect and inform us, we would rather it didn’t.

I am a neurodivergent, transgender, and pansexual man with much of my experience focusing on the LGBTQ+ community and those with mood and neurodevelopmental disorders (of course, that does not exclude anyone, all are welcome!) I am currently accepting clients ages 12 and up via telehealth.
I am currently accepting new clients! Asking for help is understandably hard, especially if you've had your fair share of bad experiences in the therapy world, but we all deserve a safe and supportive place to share, heal, and change the way we want to change. That remains true whether we are dealing with everyday stressors, or something more complex and challenging. We never need to navigate through the world alone. By working together, we form a partnership in navigating down a path of your choosing to to get to a softer and easier place in your life.

Hi there! My name is Koti Gaspich.
I'm a trans, male therapist currently licensed to practice in PA and CO. I am certified to lead Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and offer KAP through Journey Clinical and Psilocybin harm reduction consultation. I believe therapy is political. Rights of marginalized individuals are being ripped away at alarming rates. I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where you can challenge the boundaries of the boxes other people placed you in to discover and learn to love who you are. I believe that everyone has value and is worthy of love, kindness and compassion.

I believe every individual's mental wellness journey is unique and while we may have similar struggles, our relationship to and with those struggles will differ because of the interconnected societal, cultural, biological, historical, and personal influences that shape our lives. From a place of cultural competence and humility, I intentionally cultivate a space that is holistic, non-traditional, inclusive, collaborative, and validating while being no less full of empathy, compassion, exploration, and affirmation.

Navigating the immigration process is overwhelming. Your lawyer is handling the legal side, but you’re left feeling anxious, confused, and scared that the only home you’ve ever known could be taken from you. You search for answers—and that’s where I come in. An Immigration Psychological Evaluation can provide critical support for your case. This could be the key factor in keeping your family together rather than torn apart. Whether you're seeking asylum, facing hardship, applying for a waiver, or proving the emotional impact of separation, I take the time to provide a comprehensive evaluation. You don’t have to do this alone.

Many people living with childhood trauma or C-PTSD feel like they’re “too sensitive” or “too much.” The truth is, your nervous system learned to survive, and it can learn something new. You’re someone who seems capable and dependable, yet still find yourself people-pleasing, overthinking, and feeling emotionally exhausted from managing others’ expectations. You may feel disconnected from yourself or stuck in familiar patterns, even when you want things to change. You’re ready to build healthier boundaries, trust yourself, and feel more secure and authentic in your relationships. I want to help you get there.

As a transgender therapist, I offer a space where that baseline understanding is already there.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Therapy with me is relational, direct, and grounded in curiosity—not judgment. We might work with parts of you that feel stuck, overwhelmed, or protective, and build tools that help you feel more steady and connected in your day-to-day life.

As a gender-diverse individual, why might I want to see a therapist who is also gender diverse?
A trans or gender-diverse client may want to see a therapist who is also trans or gender diverse because the client may feel safer sharing their experiences and more confident that the therapist will understand, validate, and support them. But trans or gender-diverse clients can also benefit from therapy with cisgender therapists; this is a personal decision based on the connection between the client and the therapist, and if that connection is strong, therapy will be successful.
What if I cannot find a therapist who shares my gender identity?
Therapy can still be effective if a therapist does not share a client’s gender identity; a large body of research indicates that the most important factor in successful therapy is the therapeutic alliance. A therapist can also be interviewed for sensitivity and competence on gender identity and expression to ensure they possess appropriate knowledge and skills. Many therapists have excellent training and extensive experience working with gender-diverse clients, and that expertise can be invaluable despite a therapist not sharing the same firsthand experiences.
How can I recognize a good therapist for working with gender-diverse clients?
An experienced therapist should be able to help clients explore their gender identity and expression, alleviate discomfort related to their gender identity, treat mental health challenges and trauma, address existing relationships and communication with family members and loved ones, and determine the next steps pertaining to nonmedical or medical gender-affirming interventions. To recognize a good therapist, clients can ask about these topics and explore their comfort and connection with the clinician.
How might I inquire about a therapist’s experience working with transgender clients?
Clients should feel comfortable asking therapists directly about their experience working with transgender or gender-diverse clientele. For example, clients may ask about the therapist’s training and education with regard to gender identity, how many trans clients they’ve worked with in the past, and what sorts of matters were discussed. You may wish to inquire how a therapist specifically supports the needs of transgender clients or clients questioning their gender identity. A good clinician who is nonetheless not the right fit for you is often happy to make referrals to others based on the concerns you articulate in a preliminary conversation.
