My clients may be dealing with challenges such as anxiety, sports performance, academic pressures, social interactions, or relationship issues, and are now ready to engage in an open and honest conversation.
I believe in conversation and the strength you gain from telling your story. I specialize in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness techniques. Each client I work with has their own story to tell, and my goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings.

You’re driven, disciplined, and used to performing at a high level, but that doesn’t make you immune to anxiety, burnout, or a complicated relationship with food/body. Has your once easy confidence disappeared? Maybe one day you suddenly couldn’t execute what used to feel natural, or things haven’t felt the same since an injury or setback. You have the skills, but there’s something missing in the most critical moments. When performance struggles show up, it’s not simply “mind over matter.” I specialize in helping high-achievers overcome the mental and nervous system barriers that interfere with performance and overall well-being.

We all get stuck, but we don't have to stay that way. Therapy is a place for new beginnings. Beginning to learn about ourselves. Beginning to increase self-love and appreciation. Beginning to heal. I believe all individuals are unique, thus therapy is not a one size fits all. I aim to meet each client where they are, with understanding and a strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation for a transformative process. Most of us are doing the best we can with what we've received from our loved ones/early experiences, my goal is to have you leave with more, and for your best to only get better.

Additionally, I help clients improve sports performance, and find balance during times of uncertainty.
My ideal client is someone who feels emotionally stuck, perhaps they’re carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, burnout, or self-doubt and they're ready to better understand what’s beneath it all. They often have a strong sense of responsibility to others but struggle to extend that same care inward. They may have a history of people-pleasing, unresolved trauma, or chronic stress that has made it hard to set boundaries or prioritize their own needs. What they want is to feel grounded, supported, and more in control of their emotional life. They’re not necessarily looking for quick fixes.

How does sports psychology work?
Sports psychology helps athletes identify and overcome challenges, such as perfectionism or a fear of failure, and improve key mental skills, such as confidence or concentration. By applying principles and techniques from psychology, such as goal-setting, visualization, positive self-talk, and emotion regulation, sports psychologists help athletes improve their performance on the field and their well-being overall.

How long does treatment for a sports-related problem take?
The duration of sports psychology treatment depends on the athlete’s individual challenges, goals, the complexity of the interventions used, and even on the length of the season. A performance anxiety issue may be treated with a short-term treatment, like Cognitive behavioural therapy, while issues such as depression, substance abuse, or severe anxiety may require longer-term treatments.

How effective is treatment for sports performance problems?
Sports psychology has been shown to improve performance and help athletes manage their emotions. Sports psychology can be effective in boosting performance, team dynamics, and injury rehabilitation. Over the past decade, nearly every professional sports team in every major sport has added a sports psychologist to its staff. Many colleges have done the same, and even some high school programs have done the same. Olympic hopefuls may consult with sports psychologists starting in elementary school.

What are the limitations of sports psychology?
Sports psychology may have several limitations. Every athlete is unique and may respond differently to sports psychology treatments. Therapy can help an athlete reach their potential; it can help athletes cope with injury and pain, but it cannot change the physical limitations that may be affecting an athlete’s performance.
