Japanese Therapists in Las Vegas, NV
Hello, my name is Dr. Sohei Breaux-Fujita, Doctor of Psychology and Marriage & Family Therapist. I was born and raised in Japan but completed all of my studies here in the United States, from undergrad to my doctoral program. I know what it feels like to be different and have a passion for working with others who may be in a similar position. Whether it’s different than how others look or simply how others think and feel. My focus of studies surrounded the LGBTQ community and their families, as well as racial minorities. I have also worked with children and their parents in the past as well.

I understand how much courage it takes to begin therapy, and you don’t have to do it alone.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative. I use parts and memory therapy alongside somatic techniques to help you gently process trauma stored in both the mind and body. I also incorporate CBT to support you in managing anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges with practical, effective tools you can use in everyday life.
Whether you’re working through past experience or navigating current stressors, I’ll be there as a steady source of support—helping you build insight, resilience, and lasting change.

Are you native Japanese or involved in a relationship with a person of Japanese descent?
For over twenty years, I have mostly worked with native Japanese or families of mixed heritage (where one of the members is of Japanese descent) with adjustment, relationship, and cross-cultural issues. As a native Japanese speaker myself, I have a good understanding of Japanese modern culture, social dynamics, sensibilities, and generational differences.
