I help busy women who feel really stressed and tired because they're trying so hard to be perfect.
Hey! I get it. You’re a successful woman who feels overwhelmed by anxiety and burnout due to the pressure of perfectionism and fear of failure. Your issues may include a constant feeling of not being good enough, the inability to relax or enjoy accomplishments, or a pervasive fear of making mistakes. Your needs likely revolve around finding a sense of calm, learning effective stress management techniques, and redefining success. Your goals might include achieving a healthier work-life balance, and cultivating self-compassion. Ultimately, you want to feel confident, content, and fulfilled in both your personal and professional life.

Trauma & eating disorders both have a way of making us feel alone, and unable to see a future free from the aftermath of these experiences. We often start to identify ourselves as these problems, but those things are separate. Whoever you are, whatever your journey of life may have been thus far, you can recover. It is important to remember that recovery is not linear, and that no matter where you are starting, you are here, and taking this step to embark on this journey towards healing, and recovery. My hope is to provide an empathetic safe space for you to work towards your goals, and to finding your true authentic self.

I know that the idea of therapy can be intimidating. I want to help my clients to take the steps that can change their lives. Nothing makes me happier than empowering someone with the tools they need to be proactive in overcoming their current challenges. I ensure that this is done in a kind, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment. I deeply care about my clients and understand the pain that brings them to therapy. Some of the challenges that bring my clients to therapy are depression, anxiety, changes in relationships, parenting, grief, and trauma.

Like the Hokey Pokey, change is essential in order to "turn ourselves around". But finding a therapist that clicks can be as problematic as finding the right shoe (it has to be the right fit- and believe me, not every therapist is a perfect fit!) When it comes to any type of change, even therapeutic, the greatest factor is the relationship between therapist and the client. My practice is honest, genuine while being direct. I try to create a comfortable and caring atmosphere. I work with individuals, couples, and families to create new perspectives and insights to reach optimal results

I love working with clients who value a holistic approach. I believe the greatest hope to heal our brains and therefore heal our mental health is to work on our mind, body and spirit. I integrate this to create hope with my individual clients, families and couples. It is imperative to me that hope, grace, and positivity is used to help clients heal. I enjoy working with conflicted couples, and individuals looking to heal and become empowered to be the best version of themselves.

Waitlist for new clients
There are times when everyone feels like their struggles are too big for them to handle alone. When people feel unheard, unmotivated, overwhelmed, discarded, or misunderstood, it can be difficult to ask for help. Seeking therapy can be a big step, so I want you to know that my goal is to make clients feel comfortable enough to work on their issues, large or small. These issues could seem simple to outsiders; like procrastination, low self-esteem, or being unhappy in your current situation. However, in therapy I offer a nonjudgmental space where you and I can work together to figure it all out and to work toward YOUR goals.

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
