Individuals, Couples, and Families come to therapy with a range of concerns that include or are related to traumatizing major life events, depression, anxiety, anger management, loss, addiction, parenting issues, etc., that have negatively impacted their lives. As a result, they seek a therapist that can provide a safe, supportive place for them to talk about circumstances that are causing distress. Therapy should assist in adding relief for those symptoms. As a professional, I collaborate with clients to overcome these concerns.

Let's find permanent solutions to your intimacy challenges and relationship dissatisfaction. Many relationship challenges develop in the context of other relationships that simply perpetuate ineffective patterns. Basic foundations such as communication, intimacy, and trust become buried under layers of complications that haven't been dealt with. Jerri works collaboratively with clients to help determine their own understanding of themselves and their relationships with others. She treats individuals, couples, and adolescents 16+.

I enjoy providing couples counseling and marriage counseling to individuals and couples.
Are you feeling like you want out of your relationship? Are you imagining yourself with someone else? Relationships are hard work, however, they can also be rewarding. I believe that relationships in Las Vegas can become healthy, if we are willing to work on making positive changes. You don’t have to keep arguing over the same issues over and over again. Sometimes we may wonder if counseling can help or its a last ditch effort. We worry about the time requirement, the cost , and having to be open about our problems. It's normal to have these concerns. Be encouraged that counseling can be cheaper than a divorce and less painful

Are you looking for the perfect relationship? Unfortunately, a “perfect” relationship doesn’t exist; however, a healthy one does. Couples do experience challenges, but it is how they work through these challenges that defines the quality of their relationship. At times you might feel overwhelmed, scared, or disconnected from your partner. There is hope. If your relationship is having trouble, I can help. With over ten years of experience, I have helped couples overcome various challenges to understand what is hurting their relationship; while at the same time, teaching them how to work together rather than against each other.

I am an existential-humanistic practitioner who will provide an empathetic, non-judgemental, and confidential environment where you can be fully heard and understood. I am not interested in identifying symptoms to label human beings in order to meet the needs of insurance companies. I am interested in meeting the needs of individuals, families, and couples by utilizing a mind, body, and spirit approach with the intent of addressing the root causes of pain and discomfort. This approach will pave the way toward happiness and give the spirit fertile ground in which to flourish.

I specialize in working with individuals, couples and families.
Have you recently experienced a shift in your religious/spiritual beliefs? Are you struggling to understand what your purpose is, what your values are, and where to go from here? I am a former member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka the LDS/Mormon church). I have first-hand knowledge and experience with how difficult of a journey it can be to have your religious/spiritual beliefs change. Figuring out who you are-and what you now believe in-can be a painful, difficult journey, but you do not have to do it by yourself. I will be there to help guide you every step of the way.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
