As a Clinical Psychologist, I utilize an integrative approach aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of the self—exploring what drives one's thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My work is rooted in identifying automatic thoughts that shape perceptions and feelings, as well as uncovering the past messages and experiences that have been reinforced over time. My practice is centered on helping clients navigate the complexities of their internal and external worlds, recognizing how their environment has contributed to their current state, and empowering them to make intentional choices that align with their values and aspirations.

Feeling overwhelmed, shut down, or stuck isn’t a personal failure—it’s something we can actually work through. I help quiet the internal chaos and get to the root of what’s driving it. I go beyond coping strategies or surface-level symptom relief. We focus on the underlying patterns such as trauma, attachment wounds, relational dynamics, and internal conflicts so change is not just temporary but truly lasting. My goal is for you to feel more grounded, more self-led, and more empowered as life unfolds.

Accepting New Clients
The aim of my therapy is for couples understand what their true emotions around a situation are. Sometimes we lash out when we are scared or we withdraw when we feel ashamed. I approach obstacles in a relationship with an emotion-focused lens, as I want to guide the couple to see their true emotions.

When wounds go unhealed, they can continue to shape how you feel, relate, and move through the world long after the original experiences have passed. I am passionate about helping individuals and families explore their strengths, heal relationships, and develop their own solutions to a variety of complex issues. Healing happens in the presence of safety and connection. Together, its essential to build a foundation of trust and safety that allows you to turn toward the parts of yourself that need care and compassion. My approach to treatment is systemic and biopsychosocial as I place a strong emphasis on the mind-body connection.

I work with high-functioning professionals, executives, and financially established individuals who appear successful on the outside but are carrying significant internal strain. Many of my clients are navigating leadership pressure, complex relationships, decision fatigue, identity shifts, or the emotional cost of sustained high performance. They value discretion, depth, and thoughtful work; and are often seeking support that matches the complexity of their lives rather than surface-level solutions.

How do I find a therapist near me who is accepting new patients?
Finding a therapist who is actively accepting new patients can feel overwhelming, so it can be helpful to narrow your search down as much as possible. Use the Psychology Today Therapy Directory to search specifically for therapists who are in your state and who are accepting new patients right now, so you are not wasting time reaching out to providers who have a closed waitlist. From there, you can narrow your search further by insurance, specialty, and whether you prefer in-person or online appointments. Once you find someone who looks like a good fit, you can reach out directly to confirm their availability and request an initial consultation.

How long does it typically take to get an appointment with a therapist?
Wait times for therapists in the US vary widely depending on where you live. In major cities, the wait can range from a few days to several weeks. In rural or underserved areas, it is not uncommon to wait several months. Wait times can also vary depending on the type of therapist you are looking for. In general, master's level therapists like licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) and licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) tend to be more widely available than psychologists, who hold a doctoral degree. Availability can also differ depending on the specialty you are looking for; therapists who specialize in areas like trauma, eating disorders, or child therapy tend to have longer wait times because there are fewer of them relative to the demand for their specific expertise.

What are my options if no therapists near me are accepting new patients right now?
If you are having difficulty finding a local therapist with availability, there are a few steps you can take. First, consider expanding your search to include online therapy, not just providers in your immediate geographic location. Online therapy has made it possible to see a licensed therapist in your state without needing to travel, and in many cases online providers have shorter wait times than local in-person practices. Second, your primary care doctor can be a helpful bridge while you wait. They can conduct an initial evaluation, provide referrals that may help move the process along, and in some cases connect you with other mental health resources in your area. Third, if your symptoms feel urgent, community mental health centers are designed to serve people regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, and they often have more flexibility for both crisis care and follow-up appointments than private practices do.
