In other words, YOU ARE NOT YOUR BODY, YOU ARE NOT YOUR FEELINGS, YOU ARE NOT YOUR EMOTIONS! You are not what you feel nor think. The Real You Is Awesome & Genuinely Beautiful.

Sometimes our lives get out of balance. Life throws more on our plate than we believe we can handle and our ability to cope starts to deteriorate. You're willing to work, but it may be difficult to find your way out of the box you feel trapped in. When you're in crisis, you don't want to wait for services and you certainly don't want to feel like just another number in line. You want help right away so you can get on with your life. My commitment is to provide that quality of care in a timely manner.

I have a high success rate with patients who are diagnosed with grief, post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety and
anger
issues. I have personal experience and recovery from the effects of trauma. Clients who have anxiety benefit from coping/calming therapy techniques. I am qualified to work with families to reduce conflict, teaching fair fighting, and communication skills. Also, work with people to reduce negative symptoms of Schizophrenia and Bipolar. Christian Therapy is very effective for persons who are spiritual in nature. ***I AM ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS*** All good psychotherapy or counseling has certain things in common: supportive listening, empathic understanding, and unconditional positive regard. Additionally, if you choose to work with me, we will seek out and heal the painful or traumatic experiences you lived through while growing up. These experiences likely contributed significantly to what you are currently facing: depression, anxiety,
anger
, jealousy, sexual issues and addictions, and even simple procrastination. Of course, whatever crisis you are facing needs a lot of attention, but this crisis has a history that is relevant to healing.

Immediate evening openings available! When bad things happen, in childhood or adulthood it can leave an imprint. I help clients heal at the core. There is no topic we can not reprocess, to finally give you the freedom and the ability to create a life you love. I use EMDR as well as Sand Tray therapy to help you heal at the root. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment that was designed to alleviate the distress. You don't have to go to therapy for years, I believe together we can get you feeling better in a short amount of time. PTSD, OCD, Anxiety or depression, I can help you!

I work with patients focusing on anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, stress,
anger
, addictions, relationships, multiculturalism, and Christian counseling.
You can’t control the challenging factors you are faced with in life but you can be empowered by how you perceive and respond. Difficulties, trials, struggles, pain, and grief are unavoidable even if you perceive to make the "right" choices. Life can be hard sometimes and unfair. Even the daily stressors of work, career, family, responsibilities, life transitions, difficult relationships, and lack of expectations being met can weigh you down. You live life through experiences, and experiences are understood through your perceptions. When you develop the tools to manage your perceptions, you can also manage those experiences.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
