I specialize in treating older (20+) adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, mood-disregulation, athletes with anxiety, EDOs, PTSD, relationship issues, and pregnancy issues. I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, with individuals and couples, especially those struggling with cultural expectations of their family of origin, specifically the Latino population. I use a strength-based and client-centered approach which allows my clients to be active participants in their treatment process, empowering them to be active participants in their healing and change.
My approach is both mindful and practical, using over 33 years of experience to help clients find the most effective strategies in approaching their issues. Ongoing participation in continuing education seminars and classes allow me to stay current and knowledgeable in both evidence-based and client-centered, outcome-based treatment approaches.
My experiences with clients over the years has taught me so much about the foundation of the therapeutic relationship - the rapport you build with your therapist is one of the strongest indicators of how successful treatment outcomes will be. I provide a safe and supportive environment where issues can be explored and resolution can be found.
