My name is Erin Terry, and I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified Child Life Specialist (supporting individuals and families coping with medical challenges). I have worked with children, teens, and adults in community mental health, hospitals, foster care, through all levels of schooling (elementary to college), and on a national telehealth platform. I am experienced in supporting clients who come from diverse backgrounds and are coping with a wide range of concerns. I am an active listener who uses a strengths-based approach to build rapport and foster trust in order to help clients achieve their personalized goals.
My therapy style is welcoming and collaborative. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. My nonjudgmental approach combines a variety of therapeutic interventions, and may include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and/or IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy).
