At North Star Guidance Center, we believe in a family centered, community focused practice. We maintain an unwavering commitment to building strong, healthy relationships between caretakers, supportive community resources and service providers. Our group provides individual, group, couples, family counseling and neurofeedback in the Greater Lowell area. We work collaboratively to provide a comprehensive continuum of care that will best serve both individuals and families. As a group, we encourage integrated approaches to healing and offer a variety of trauma informed services to match particular needs.
We also offer state of the art neurofeedback with qEEG brain mapping technology. Brain mapping can provide confirmation and guidance to what may be helpful. Neurofeedback is a gradual therapeutic learning process that can help an individual train themselves to directly affect their brain function.
Neurofeedback can be used independently from counseling and is a medication free approach that can be effective in treating depression, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, sleep disorders, headaches, migraines, post traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, impulsivity and aggression. It can also be helpful for people with autism.
