Thank you for your interest. I am a retired (2001) combat veteran with twenty years of military service. My credentials/licenses are in Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, and Chemical Dependency. My therapeutic approach is based on cognitive behavior research which has found a strong correlation between thoughts and behaviors. Additionally, I use the Narrative Therapy approach to understand emotions rooted in the client's life experiences that shape their strengths, fears, beliefs, values, and reactions to different types of stress.
Currently working full time as a Marriage and Family Therapist. A good amount of my experience is combined with active duty Service Members and their families. I have worked in clinical settings with patients struggling with co-existing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and substance misuse.
I have been married to my wife for 38 years (+) 20 were during active duty. I have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I am pro-marriage and pro-family. While in some cases separation and divorce is necessary, I believe in working it out, giving it 200%. In many cases we are willing to risk our lives for country and flag, our family deserves nothing less.
