Helping clients understand beliefs, emotions and behaviors is an important aspect for progress . While cognitive behavioral therapy is at the core of my approach, I believe that cognitive restructuring is essential in client progress. An eclectic approach is necessary because each client is unique and presents with unique strengths, needs and goals.
I have worked in the capacity of addictions counselor, clinical case manager, family therapist and have done work with couples, pre-teens, teens and adults. I am fluent in Spanish and have worked with the Latino population in the Boise area since 2013. I have facilitated Anger Management, Early Recovery Skills, Healthy Thinking, Drug & Alcohol Ed groups.
