If you're struggling with marital/relationship problems, addiction issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, or a traumatic experience(s), I can help. I also provide therapy for those having difficulty coping with a crisis, a stressful life transition, or a painful loss due to a break-up, divorce, or death. I work with adults, teens and couples from a psychodynamic perspective, helping you to gain insight and heal wounds that impact current patterns of behavior. I also integrate various approaches such as CBT, mindfulness, and specialized mind/body techniques including Sensorimotor Tx, EMDR and Brainspotting that provide relief from trauma, pain, & distress.
In addition to my private practice, I've spent several years doing addiction research, as well as counseling individuals and families in various intensive inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. I understand the complexities of addiction, and the usefulness of psychotherapy as a powerful tool in creating deep and lasting change.
