Sometimes our lives are stable; however, there are times where we are suddenly confronted with traumatic experiences or losses, such as health problems (dx. of cancer or terminal illnesses), the death of a loved one, separation of the family, loss of work, problems with our children, or academic struggles. These situations can make us feel unsure of our own capacities and emotional strengths which can lead to increased vulnerability, and can cause us to start experiencing high levels of depression and anxiety, or other emotional pain/fears.
I have experience providing treatment to adults, adolescents, children, and families dealing with a variety of issues. I have expertise in working with patients from diverse multicultural backgrounds who struggled with psychological issues and the implications of living in a different culture and/or raising children in a different culture.
