Life is hard sometimes (a lot of the time), and when it is, it's okay to ask for help. I work with adolescents and adults who are struggling with mental health concerns, trying to figure out who they are, or navigating difficult life transitions. Sometimes you need someone nonjudgemental to talk to who will hold what you have to say in confidence. You deserve a safe and accepting space to address your needs and find solutions, which can entail learning new coping skills, or learning to live with and adapt to a situation.
I believe that you have the ability within you to reach your full potential, but sometimes people need a helping hand along the way. As a therapist I avoid telling people what they should do, and instead prefer to help you to meet goals you've set for yourself.
I work with people with a variety of mental health concerns, from addictions to mood disorders to trauma, and bring my lived experience as a trans woman, veteran, and person in long term recovery to the table. I have also received training in CBT and EMDR, and incorporate both into my person-centered approach.
